50 shades of .... green

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a journal page which I made as an inspiration piece for the monochromatic challenge over at Country View Challenges

and here's how:

First I cut a piece of watercolour paper to 6" x 6" and then rubbed this new AALL & Create stencil called 'Alphanumeric' with Distress Oxide inks. I used Peeled paint and Twisted Citron. I then spritzed with water and put it onto my paper.

This is what it looks like dry.

Next I stamped the background with the same colours ink.

I have had this stamp set by Katzelkraft for ages and have never used it, so today I thought this was as good a day as any to get it out. I stamped this person (?) on the background to get the little bubbles above his head and onto a scrap or watercolour paper.

I coloured him with Distress Inks, also Peeled Paint and Twisted Citron and coloured pencils to get a little more variation in the greens.

After adding some washi tape, green of course, I glued him down.

Next I stamped one of the sentiments of this AALL & Create stamp set with Versafine Clair ink 'Shady Lane'.

Ad an afterthought I added some circles from the AALL & Create set and the Shady Lane ink. I think it looked better without.. lol  I added the sentiment and used a green coloured pencil to add a line underneath the word strips and that finished it off.

Thank you for stopping by today.
