Why hello

Hello everyone,

Just a quick one today. I made this card today and though I'd share it here...

It is of course one of Tim Holtz' crazy dogs. Isn't he cute...
He was stamped and coloured with Copic Markers. I added some shading with coloured pencils.
I then looked through my stash for a suitable gelli print. I found this one which is just a mop up from the paints that stay on the plate. I stamped it a little (with black Archival ink and also with Versamark; I then embossed the numbers with white powder) and can you see that I must have turned it around at some point as the black background stamping is upside down.... oops... It didn't bother me so I decided to leave it. I glued doggie down and added some shading under him.
The sentiment is by PaperArtsy. I line around the card finished it off..

Thank you for stopping by !

Much more me...

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where I have an inspiration piece for week 2 of the Stampotique Designers' Challenge to share. The theme is text background, any text, like books, stamps, newspaper etc. I have used stamps this time..

I made a gelliprint for this in my favourite colours of this week !!! lol. Might be totally different next week or even tomorrow !
I stamped some text on it with paints; it is very subtle and also with black ink. I added some background stamping and splattering too.
The boys were stamped on the page and onto white card stock, coloured with Copic markers, cut our and adhered. I typed the sentiment on my old typewriter and glued it on. Lastly I added some shading underneath the boys and under the sentiment strips.

I used the following stamps:

Discover

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost for UmWowStudio I love playing with these chipboards; they are very good quality and there are so many different ones!!! They are mostly used in scrapbooking but I want to show you that you can also use them for other things. I made an art journal this time :

I started with a white piece of paper which I gelli printed. I used White, light blue, turquoise and purple acrylic Amsterdam paints and home made mark makers. Next I white embossed the rings and did some background stamping. I used all VivaLasVegaStamps!

I am sorry about the photo being a little dark... I tried several times but this one was the best...

They chipboards were heat embossed. I painted the feather with white gesso first, then I embossed them with white WOW fine detail embossing powder, then I used  a light blue at the edges and then a purple over that leaving some of the blue to show.

I heat embossed the stars with the same blue but because they had no gesso on them it came out too dark to my taste. So I re embossed with white which gave these cool blue speckles ! I like it...

I stamped Alice, coloured her and placed her on the feather as if she is reaching for the stars.

I used the following chipboards by UmWowStudios:

Contoured feather

Star confetti

A postcard from the seaside..

Hello everyone,

For my second inspiration piece for the "Hot Summer Days" challenge over at Country View Challenges I have made a postcard. We all send postcards home to our families when we are on holiday, don't we ?

This card was one of my stack of gelli printed cards. These are fabulous but it is making me lazy... I grab them almost all the time now....
I added the bricks with a stencil and some modelling paste. The stamping on the background was done with stamps from a set by Crafty Individuals.  I added an old postage stamp just for fun. The lizard is by Katzelkraft and I stamped him with VersaMark ink and used extra fine white embossing powder to heat emboss the image. I coloured it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I actually did two, one in orange and this one. I preferred this one. He was adhered with dimensional tape.
That was it ! Below are two detail photo's.

You have until the end of the month to play along with us. Please read the rules first ! You'll find them on the Country View Challenges blog. (Link up top)

De Craftorij Zomer Challenge - CZC2016 day 56 - 61

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where today I'll share the last 6 cards from the CZC2016; I can't believe it is over already !!! I have so enjoyed it !

Day 56 - Watercolours
Stamped this lovely lady on some Bristol Card Stock, cut slightly smaller that the cards I am using, and coloured her with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I stamped 'Whatever' next to her and added some washi tape on one of the blank cards. I then glued the panel over the top.

Day 57 - hand(s)
I used one of my gelli printed backgrounds for this. The hand is a stamp and I stamped it with VersaFine Ink and then clear embossed it. It makes it just that little bit blacker... I added some words from the same stamp set and drew some lines around the edges.

Day 58 - Mirror image
I stamped the bird once as it is and once on a piece of acetate. I then stamped the acetate on paper and hey presto a mirror image. I coloured them both and adhered them to a gelli printed card. I added a Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker.

Day 59 - Image transfer

I printed this image of Johnny Depp (swoon, swoon) on a laserprinter and then cut it out. I added gel medium to the image and to a pre painted card. I stuck the image on face down and used an old credit card to scrape over the top. This way you burnish the image and squeeze out all the gel medium that is too much. I then dried it with a heat tool and when dry I wetted it it with water and rubbed off the paper. All that is left is the black ink. I added a sentiment, which is a quote from the film 'the Shining', just for fun!

Day 60 - Purple
Another gelli print, yes I know, boring.... I have loved using all these gelli prints, which make for quick projects. I stamped over the top a little, added some white drops of paint and then added a Design paper circle to put my doggie on. He is part of the new stamp set by Tim Holtz, crazy dogs. I coloured him with Copic Markers and glued him on the circle. Lastly I added a sentiment by VivaLasVegaStamps!

Day 61 - Anything goes, 15 minutes
This one was made from bits lying on my desk. A gelli print, an already stamped and coloured image and a few bits of washitape. All I did was stamped the background, added the image and a sentiment and drew a line around the card.

And here they all are.... 61 cards !

I now have to turn them into two books... I'll be back !!!

Thank you for stopping by today !

I am so special

Hello everyone,

It's time for another post for Katzelkraft and I decided to use an oldie but a goodie for this card. This was my first Katzelkraft stamp and I still love it...

I made a gelli print for the background. I added some background stamping and added some white embossing. The monkey was stamped with black ink and then embossed with clear powder. I used coloured pencils to add a little colour. Lastly I added a black line around the edge of the card.

I used the following stamps:

Goody, goody !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blog where I am sharing a postcard for the new Challenge (#254) over at the Stampotique Designers' challenge blog. The theme for the next fortnight is 'text background'. Why not play along with us. Just make sure to read the rules and regulations on the blog.
Here is mine :

I decided to use a piece of Tim Holtz tissue paper as a background as it has text on it ! I coloured it then with Distress Crayons (still don't really like them, but keep on trying!) and was struggling how to seal it. I then had this brainwave of brayering gel medium on the gelli plate and 'gelliprinting' it onto the card. It worked of sorts.....but there was a lot of colour on the gelli plate when I pulled this card off. Anyway I used another one of these cards to make a print and that worked to so I got two for the price of one... hehehe....
Next I stamped the spirals and white embossed them. Arnold was stamped directly on the postcard but also on white card stock where I coloured him with my Copics. I cut him out and adhered him onto the image on the card.
The sentiment is an old one and it was stamped on white card stock, cut into strips and adhered to the card too..

I used the following stamps :

Arnold
Spiral Daydream
