Follow your dreams + YouTube tutorial

Hello everyone,
Hallo allemaal,

For my blogpost for De Duif today I have made an art journal with Tim Holtz' Oxide Inks. These are very cool ! and very different to the 'normal' Distress Inks.

Voor deze blogpost voor De Duif, heb ik een art journal gemaakt met de Oxide Inks van Tim Holtz. Die zijn echt leuk ! en zo anders als de 'gewone' Distress Inkten.

I have filmed the process and the link to the tutorial is at the bottom of this post. You will also find a list of materials that I have used. Enjoy !

Ik heb het hele process gefilmd en heb de link onder aan deze post geplaatst. Je vind hier ook de lijst van materialen die ik voor deze pagina gebruikt heb. Ik hoop dat jullie hier inspiratie in vinden !

Those little dogs are so much fun, I want to keep on using them....

Die hondjes blijven leuk vind ik en ik blijf ze ook gebruiken...

A card just for fun !

Hello everyone,

I had a great day in my craft room today ! Even though it is 30 degrees outside I decided I'd rather craft than while away the time in the sun... yep, I know, weird !! lol
First I did some DT work and after I finished what I had to do I fancied a little play with my new Crazy Dog stamps. They are so adorable. I also decided to have another go with the Distresss Crayons to see if I like them any better...

I also recently bought this Doily Die by Tim Holtz and I love it.. It is nice and small and so detailed. This one was lying around on my desk. I cut it out of white paper and adhered it to a gessoed piece of card stock with Distress gel medium.
I then added the Distress Crayons, blending them with a damp finger. When it was all done I wiped over it with a baby wipe that was not too wet and created this worn look which I really like.
I still don't know how to fix these crayons but I thought I spray them with fixative which seems to have done the job.
Next I stamped the background a little (all stamps used are by Tim Holtz). I thought it would be nice to keep the dog a little lighter; I stamped him on a piece of paper from a flyer and added some shading and colour with coloured pencils. After colouring I cut him out and adhered him to the card. I added some shading under him and stamped the sentiment. I used a white pen to add some highlights to it. Lastly I drew a line around the panel and adhered the whole thing to a white card.
This was so much fun !

Thanks for stopping by today !

Why hello

Hello everyone,

Just a quick one today. I made this card today and though I'd share it here...

It is of course one of Tim Holtz' crazy dogs. Isn't he cute...
He was stamped and coloured with Copic Markers. I added some shading with coloured pencils.
I then looked through my stash for a suitable gelli print. I found this one which is just a mop up from the paints that stay on the plate. I stamped it a little (with black Archival ink and also with Versamark; I then embossed the numbers with white powder) and can you see that I must have turned it around at some point as the black background stamping is upside down.... oops... It didn't bother me so I decided to leave it. I glued doggie down and added some shading under him.
The sentiment is by PaperArtsy. I line around the card finished it off..

Thank you for stopping by !
