Hello everyone,

Over at the Stampingback Challenge blog HERE, there is a new challenge..
I made a card :

I mostly concentrated on the colours of the inspiration photo (see the Stampingback link above) as I don't have any trains, planes or automobiles from Stampingback. I guess I have to buy some more !! 

Anyway I stamped the girl, coloured her and masked her off with masking fluid. I then coloured the background with Distress Inks and a blending tool. Next I stamped the background, the sentiment and added the doodle around the edge. I still thought it wasn't finished so I added some model paste through a home made stencil. I adhered the panel to a card and that was it ! 

I used stamps from the following sheets:

This journal was made with Lindy's sprays and model paste and a stencil for the background, the Rabbit and Tick Tock is from Visible Image stamps and the sentiment was typed on an old typewriter..

Red, white and blue for Wicked Wednesday...

Hello everyone,

I haven't played in the Wicked Wednesday Challenges for ages. This weeks theme is red, white and blue... and the Octopode Factory is sponsoring. I love the Octopode Factory images and I really don't use them enough. Also red, white and blue are the colours of the Dutch flag so I thought I'd have a go.

The base is made out of Christmas Design paper; I inked the edged with Distress Ink.  Annabel Lee was stamped on white card stock, coloured with Copics and cut out. She was adhered to the base and because I am Dutch I added a dutch postage stamp :o)...

For the ATC swap for June over at the Craftorij, which had the theme 'Monsters"  I made this set :

I coloured the background with acrylic paint. When that dried I stamped this adorable Alien (by VivaLasVegaStamps!) on it. I splattered some ink around and took an ink pad to ink the edges... 

Next I stamped the alien again on white card stock and coloured him with Copic Markers. I cut him out (yes, 4 times) and adhered him onto himself on the ATC's. I then made the sentiment with my type writer and glued it to the card. A bit of doodling finished it off.

ATC Trade for May-June 2015

Hello everyone,

For the Stampotique ATC swap the theme this time was Metallic - Shiny. I made these :

I started with glueing book text on the cards, then ripping off what didn't stick very well. You get a nice distressed base like that. Next I painted gesso over it. You can still see the text here and there very faintly. I then took  Lindys Stamp Gang sprays and coloured the cards, I used a blue and a brown. I also went around the edge with a brown ink pad. I then stamped the spider web with Versa Mark and heat embossed them with copper embossing powder. 

I used Stampotique's 'Head' as the focal image. He was stamped on white card stock, coloured and cut out. The wings are metal butterflies that I cut in half. I coloured them lightly with brown and blue alcohol inks. Head was glued on his wings and then the whole image was adhered to the ATC with dimensional adhesive. Lastly I added the sentiments, which are Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker.

A little art journal

Hello everyone,

It is the 1st of July today so time for another DT post for Roc. I decided on an art journal. They are my favourite !

The background first. I put some model paste through a stencil and when this was dry I gessoed the page. Next I used Spray inks from Lindy's Stampgang to colour the page. I used a light blueish colour and some pink. These sprays are my absolute favourite at the moment... and no... they do not pay me to say that !! :o)

I used a polkadot stencil and a baby wipe to get some of the colour up again so you get some lighter spots. I then stamped the Scalloped lace border on some grey ombre pattern paper and cut it out. I used a white pen to add some dots. This was then adhered to the side of the paper as a border. 

Next I put the page under my sewing machine and stitched along the edge twice. I die cut a frame and stamped dog, coloured him with my Copics and put him in the frame. Next I stamped Bird lady, cut her out and adhered her to the page after putting on some washi tape to 'ground' her. I used te same washi tape in the left top corner for balance.

Hello everyone,

Today it is my turn to host the Challenge over at Stampotique. I chose the theme 'ribbon'.
I reallly struggle to use ribbon in my projects but I do like it. So why don't you show me what you do with ribbon and maybe you can teach me a thing or two ! Have fun !

I made a feeble attempt and this is the result; an art journal :

I used the journal I made in France Papillon's workshop. It is fabulous but I don't know whether I could make another one. It's a so called Coptic Binding and I thought is was quite difficult at the time.. By now I have completely forgotten how to do it... 

Anyway, I painted the pages with Dylusions turquoise paint and then used a Donna Downey stencil and white Dylusions paint to create the flowers. 

I sparingly stamped the background with grey ink and then adhered the ribbon over the pages, folding it over at the ends and stapling it to the page. I then added the black rub on which almost looks like a ribbon :0) and then stamped 'Glimmering Hope' on gessoed book text and lightly coloured her with coloured pencils. I tore her out and adhered her to the page. Next I added the rub-on letters spelling DIVA and doodled around the page with a black pen. 

That was it... 

I used only two stamps :
