Hello everyone,
For today's AALL & Create project I have made a card. I was inspired by the colours of the Rub-ons I received in my latest Guest Design Team package.
Here's how I made it:
I started off with cutting out the 2 cards of of this die set.
I added purple, ochre and gold acrylic paint to the card and then stamped the butterfly on it. I also stamped the butterfly on a piece of watercolour card to colour. This way I can cut off all the small details of the painted on and glue it over the top.
Next I added some rub-ons from set #12. These colours insprired the card.
Next I stamped here and there using stamp sets #489 and #1110.
I added some pieces of washi tape #31.
This is the butterfly coloured (with watercolour markers) and cut out, glued over the top of the stamped one on the card. I added some white splatters for more interest.
Next I stuck some washi tape (#30) along the edges of the larger card. I really should have done this before die cutting as it would have been much easier.
So here is the finished card matted on the larger card which has the washi tape and matted again on a piece of black card stock that I cut myself and rounded the corners.
I think it looks very warm and Autumnal.
