Peek-a-boo book

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing a mini accordion book I made for AALL & Create. I went back to using a stencil as I used to do when I first began crafting ie. just spraying ink through it. I used Distress Oxides in this case. The result is great for such a quick way of filling a piece of paper with colour!

And here's how:

I used this stencil to spray through and add some colour to my paper. I used Distress Oxide Sprays in Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade. For one of the covers I used the stencil full of ink and just printed it. (The left piece of paper in the bottom of the picture).

Next I stamped the backgrounds, using the same Distress Oxides in Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin and Abandoned Coral.

Next I stamped some more but now with grey and black ink. I used Versafine Clair. Later I added more of the circles on the right with the Abandoned Coral ink..

I wanted to use these chickens so I stamped them out and also the sentiments that I wanted to use. I planned to call the book peek-a-boo book because of the chicken looking through his legs. He was destined to go on the cover..

I added some doodling and washi tape and coloured the chickens. Ready to put it all together.

And here it is...

I glued the ribbon between the accordion and the covers.
