Not happening today !

Hello everyone,

I am very blessed to be on so many fantastic Design Teams but sometimes it is just nice to do something for me ! So when I received a pack of "snarky" Small Talk stickers by Tim Holtz (as part of a DT package), there was one sticker that gave me an instant idea. So I set to work and filmed the process:

The weird thing is that I struggled with it. Don't know why, maybe it is because I don't often play anymore and I was a little overwhelmed.
I used a variety of materials but have made no list. If you have any questions please ask !

Stand out

Hello everyone,

For my weekly Katzelkraft post I have an Art Journal page. I couldn't resist using the Zebra in the top hat again. He must be one of my favourite stamps ever and he has to come out on a regular basis !

The background is a mop up page from the gelli plate. These are often even nicer than the proper prints I think. I added the swirl in the right hand bottom corner and some text stamping all over. I used white embossing powder for the swirl and pink Distress Oxide for the script.
Next I added the sentiment, I used my stamping tool so I could stamp a few times to get a nice black image. I then highlighted some of the letters with a white pen. I used the same pen to draw a lined around the edges. The Zebra was stamped on book paper and cut out. I adhered him on my page.

I used the following stamps:

A prickly post !

Hi everyone,

Today for my Vera Lane Studio post I have made an ATC and an Art Journal page. I have used the 'Succulents' set that was released this week. I love them !

This ATC was made with a piece of gelli printed paper from my stash. I added some stamping and washitape before adding the cactus. I coloured it with my Copics. The sentiment is from the same set.

I really enjoyed colouring these plants but when I finished I spent ages to find a background that I liked. I painted one, threw it away because I didn't like it, tried gelli prints from my stash, didn't like it. In the end I found this 12 x 12 paper in my stash and decided that it looked  nice, especially with the sentiment. So I cut a piece to fit my journal and added washitape to put the pots on. After gluing the plants in place and the sentiment too I declared it finished :o) !

You'll find the set HERE

I do love to be beside the seaside !

Hello everyone,

I am back with the second project for my sun, sea and sand Challenge over at Country View Challenges. I have made a postcard this time. I hope you will take part too and make something holiday and/or summer themed. You could win a £20 voucher for the shop !

Here's mine :

And here's how I made it:

I started with stamping this lovely lady and colouring her with my Copics.

and here she is...

Next I decided to use one of my gelli printed papers and added some heat embossing by adding the embossing ink through a stencil (AALL&Create) and some stamping.

This is how it looked. I like the fact that the embossing is not perfect. I love this worn look.

I placed the lady on top of the embossing but added washi tape first for her to stand on. Lastly I added the sentiment.

Gone fishin'

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my post for VivaLasVegaStamps! today where I'd like to share a mini art journal spread.

I made this by brayering acrylic paint over the pages. I then used a mini gel printing plate to add the tone on tone flowers. Next I added some stamping and more flowers, this time with white paint . The flowers are a stencil btw.

I then stamped the girl on the page; I had to colour the birds in with a black marker because it didn't stamp very well. That is the rist of working directly in your journal. Much easier to work on loose pages so you can use a stamping tool.
I also stamped her on a piece of white paper and cut her and the bird cage and boat out. I adhered this over the stamped image on the page. I added a little colour with pencils.

The sentiment was stamped as a background stamp but also separate on white paper to use as a titel for the page. I also aded some white splatters and a line around the page.

I have used the following stamps :

Happy birthday

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft post I have made a birthday card. I will send this to my friend who likes cats ! Let's hope she doesn't read my blogposts! lol

I made the background for this card by brayering yellow paint first, then pink over the top when the yellow was dry. While the pink was still wet, I put a stencil on it and wiped away the paint with a baby wipe. Such a cool effect I think.
Next I stamped the cat, the balloon and the sentiment on the card using my stamping tool. I also stamped the cat and balloon on white card stock. I coloured these images in and cut them out, adhering them over the top of the stamped ones on the card. I did add some washi tape before gluing down the cat so he has something to sit on.

I have used the following stamps:
