Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas full of crafty gifts and yummy food.
For today's AALL & Create post, the last of this year, I have made a postcard.
Here's how:
First I stamped the monkey.
then I coloured him with Copic Markers.
The background was made on the gelli plate with this stencil. I used blue, turquoise and purple paints. Of course I am going to tone it down with my white paint and a brayer.
On the toned down background I added some random stamping and also some heat embossing. These sets are amongst my favourites.
Next I put a piece of washi tape on white card stock so the background would shine through. I also cut it smaller. I wanted to put my (Tim Holtz) sentiment sticker on it.
Here it is finished. I had some pieces of this left over so I decided to turn them into flags (bunting).
And because the flags were an afterthought the middle strip is actually a little too high to please the eye. But I couldn't rip it off because it would have destroyed the background. I still like how it came out though.
I have used the following materials for this card:
Stencil:
#113 - Lotza Squares by Autour de Mwa
Washi tape:
#17 - Mix & Match by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#489 - Wisecracks by Autour de Mwa
#494 - X or O by Janet Klein
#495 - + or X by Janet Klein
#503 - Tinman & Monkey by Janet Klein

DeleteWhat a wonderful postcard, Corrie. I have to admit that I've taken your wish for yummy food much too far, as have my monkeys. Nobodies flying now - we're all grounded with overeating! xo
