Fly me to the moon

Hello everyone,

Today is my turn to share another project for AALL & Create. I have made another 6 x 6 panel; I seem to be addicted to those at the moment...

And here's how :

I brayered light blue paint onto my panel and dried it.

Next I brayered a darker blue/turquoise over the top and put the stencil on top while it was still wet. I then used a baby wipe to remove some of the dark paint. I love this technique.

The next step was to heat emboss the moon from set #22 with white powder, adding white paint over the top with my trusty brayer, stamping the background using Distress Oxide and Jet Black Archival Ink. I did emboss the blue Distress Oxide with clear powder because I was too impatient for it to dry.

The next step was to stamp my focal images and the sentiment. I stamped the images on the panel but also on some white card. I coloured the ones on the white card, cut them out and glued them onto the panel. This way the images look perfect. The sentiment was made up from words from both stamp sets.

This is the end result with the stamps and stencil I used.

Lastly I added some doodling with a black pen.

  2. I'm drooling over that wild pop of orange on top of the blue - one of my favourite colour combos, and that song is going to be stuck in my head for the day. Thanks for the ear worm, my friend. :D
