An ATB for AALL & Create

Hello everyone,

For today's project I have made an ATB with the lovely AALL & Create stamps and a MDF cube my hubby made for me with his CNC machine... (don't ask). I had so much fun painting, adding texture, colour, fabulous images etc...

This is how it started out. Hubby made the cube and the legs. I glued them together....

I started with covering the cube with paper and painting it with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic paints..

Next I added modelling paste through this fabulous stencil everywhere on the line between the green and the blue. Looks fab I think... I also added stamping with this great big A4 stamp called Vintage Graffiti by Olga. I used orange Distress Oxide ink for this which I sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heating it. This makes sure that it doesn't go anywhere. Distress Oxides are water soluble and this way they stay put whatever you put on next.

Next I coloured two angels and some hearts. I chose my sentiments and put the whole thing together.

Love, love, love these colours together...

This was great fun making and I hope you like it too.

I have used the following stamps and stencil:

#131 Arty Angels by Louise Nelson
# 56 - Vintage Graffiti (A4) by Olga Heldwein
Stencil #11 by Autour de Mwa

Look at the birdie !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to the last Friday of the month September ! Wow,  not long before it is Christmas ! lol
Not my favourite time of the year as I love the Summer, needless to say I really enjoyed 2018's lovely hot 'proper' Summer ! I hope we'll get another one next year !

Anyway, I have an AJ page to share today. I made this for Katzelkraft. Not long now before the new release will be in the shops, or maybe they have already arrived! I have used some 'oldies' for this page.

This page was made with a gelli print. I used Amsterdam acrylics and a foam stamp of a flower to get some interest straight away. Next I stamped the background, added some splatters in white and black and added some book pages which I stamped with the grungy circle.

Next I stamped, coloured and cut out the bird and the camera. I decided to cut off the flash light of the camera. I always look at how I can use the same stamp in different ways.

Next I put it all together. I didn't have a stamp that said "look at the birdie" so I had a go at writing it myself. Not a great success I think !

I have used the following stamps:

On cloud 9

Hello everyone,

and happy Thursday ! Today's post for Vera Lane Studio consists of an ATC with the new release from this week called "Cloud 9" and an art journal spread with "Princess".  Both these sets come with already coloured images and blank ones. I used a ready coloured Cloud 9 girl for my ATC and the Princess was coloured by me with Copic Markers.

The background was made with Distress Oxide Inks.

You'll find Cloud 9 HERE

This AJ spread was made in my gelli printed book. I added stencilling and doodling. Princess is standing on a piece of washi tape.

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing one of the samples I made for AALL & Create for the new release. These adorable ducks are by Olga. Aren't they fun! I have made a trio of ATC's with them. Unfortunately I have no progress photos; I got carried away making them !

I have used sets:

#135 Ducks
#56 Vintage Graffiti.

Every moment matters

Hello everyone,

For today's Katzelkraft project I have made a card.

For this card I have used one of my many card sized gelli printed papers. All I did was heat emboss the sentiment, stamp the zebra on the card and on white card stock, coloured him, cut him out and adhered him over the top of himself on the card. :o)
I added some shading under the zebra with a coloured pencil.

I have used the following stamps:

Just because..

Hello everyone,

welcome to my 2nd blogpost for VivaLasVegaStamps! this month. I have made an Art Journal spread this time and this is it.

The background was made with acrylic paint, a stencil, a babywipe and a blending tool. I started out on a gessoed surface. Next I added the stamping around the edges.
The lady and the sentiment were stamped on tissue paper and adhered with gel medium.
Lastly I drew a line around the edges.

A close up of the 'Banksy Wall singer' that is from the latest release.

The sentiment is from the same sheet. Love them both !

I have used the following stamps:

A perfect night for mystery !

Hello everyone,

happy Thursday to you all ! I have an art journal page to share today. I have used the new Frankie and Bride set by Vera Lane Studio.

The background is another mop up page. Sometimes they turn out really cool ! I resized Frankie and his Bride and printed them out. I then coloured them with Copic Markers. I also added a little coloured pencil over the top here and there.
I cut them out and adhered them to my page. The quote is from the film "the bride of Frankenstein".

You'll find the happy couple here: Frankie

Pretty in pink

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a project I made over the last week for France Papillon's Butterfly Squad. This project is called 'a layer a day' and it basically means that you make an art journal spread in a week by doing one layer a day. If you'd like to play along, which you can every week, please read this HERE.

This week Marit is leading the challenge and I am playing along side her. She chose the theme "Pretty in pink". So here's mine !

And here's how:

Layer 1: I used DecoArt Crackle paste thought France's stencil "Rusted Rivets".

Layer 2: I added some collage with Tim Holtz tissue paper.

Layer 3: A very watered down layer of Deco Art Fluid Acrylic Paynes Grey.

Layer 4: More Paynes Grey, now concentrated on the 'rivets' and dripped down.

Layer 5: Deco Art Fluid Acrylic Titanium White Splatters.

Layer 6: Background stamping using pink Distress Oxide (Pink Raspberry) ink and black Archival inks. I used the Archival to ink up the edges too. Stamps are from the set 'Rock 'n rust' by France.

Layer 7: The main element and sentiment. I used the octopus from 'Creepers and crawlers' and coloured him with Copics. I placed him on a piece of grey pattern paper to make him stand out more. I used the same paper and an old typewriter to make the sentiment.

Here's a close-up.

Oops...

Hello everyone,

Can you believe it is Friday again ? Time sure goes quickly !

I have a postcard to share for Katzelkraft:

The background was made with white card stock. I used Distress Ink and a blending tool to add colour. Next I put a stencil on top and sprayed water through it. After leaving it for a few seconds I mopped up the water and dried it. Next I stamped the balloons, coloured them with distress inks and coloured pencils and the sheep with Zig Clean Color real brush markers. I cut everything out and placed it on the card. I didn't like it... it was too dark. So I cut out some clouds, added white paint to my background to tone it down and then glued everything down. Lastly I stamped the sentiment.

I used the following stamps:

Love the expression on his face !

Be brave

Hello everyone,

Another project for AALL & Create today ! yay ! I am really enjoying these at the moment. I went to a stamp fair late August and bought another of Fiona's little people called Kaily.
I had an idea to make a little house out of cardboard for ages and decided to do that today and use my new stamp! I also made a YouTube tutorial of this project if you are interested in seeing how I made it...

This is Kaily, isn't she cute !

Here is the finished house.

And here's how:

I made a template for the pieces of cardboard I had to cut.

Here is the finished house. I did make a mistake though. I put the side walls in between the front and the back, thus making the house thicker if you like. The roof panels were then to narrow. So I cut some new ones. You can see my struggle in the video ! :o)

I stamped and coloured to my hearts content and then cut everything out.

This is how it all came together..

A details shot of her lacy dress..

And here is the video:

Or you can use this LINK

I have used :

Stamps #84 by Fiona Paltridge and #45 by Tracy Evans
Stencil #28 by Autour de Mwa
