Birthday card swap….

Hello fellow Crafters,

This year I am also taking part in a birthday card swap. It's being organised by Sonja Boom via de Craftorij. This is the first card I made; it was for Gerrina and her birthday was last Friday. So I can show you the card I made for her:

I started with a bit of card stock that was slightly smaller then my card front. I gessoed it with Liquitex Gesso because it is a bit rough and forms a nice base for Pan Pastels. They were next in 2 shades of pink. I used some black India Ink to stamp the circles and make the splatters. I stamped the Bingo card stamp with gray Archival ink and the number stamp with white ink. I also aged the edges of the paper with some black Archival ink. The main image was stamped on pink patterned paper and cut. The sentiment was made with a label maker and placed on some more patterned paper and stapled on the card front which I then adhered to the card.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it….

  2. That is such a great stamped image you used, never seen this before.
That vibrant colour is amazing. I so wish I was braver with the use of colour!

    1. Thanks Lynne, you are so kind. The stamped image is from Teesha Moore. I love it too, although I haven't used it much because of all my Stampotique stuff. These birthday cards are the perfect opportunity to use something different.

  3. Hi, Corrie! I am still playing blog catch-up, but a so glad that I did not miss this card! I love all things vintage, so this especially appeals to me. Not usually a fan of pink, but absolutely love how you used it here! Creative use of that patterned paper, too. This is just perfect, and I know that Gerrina was over-the-moon happy with it! Mwah!
