This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

For this week's DT post I have made two postcards. As some of you might know I am a big fan of Alice in Wonderland and I love the sets Janet has been bringing out in the last few weeks.

This is the Toad, he was printed, coloured and cut out. I placed him on a background that I create with acrylic paints, a stencil and a baby wipe. I added white lines around the circles by placing the stencil back and tracing .. I added some washi tape to ground him and added the sentiment.

This card was made with a gelli print from my stash. I printed, coloured and cut out the queen and added her on top of two strips of washi tape. The sentiment came from  the internet and is a 'queen of hearts quote'. I printed it in Janet's fabulous Babypowder font, cut it into pieces and adhered on the card.

and Happy Thursday ! Welcome to my weekly Vera Lane Studio blogpost. This time I have made a mini art journal page and a postcard.

This cutie is from the newly released set "Goodnight moon", I coloured her with Copics, cut her out and made a night sky background for her. I added splatters and yellow embossed chip board stars.

This is an oldie called 'Under the sea' and is available on request. 

I arranged the images on a my computer to made a bit of scene, printed it on watercolour paper and then used my watercolours to colour the whole postcard. I added a clippings sticker as a sentiment.

Hello everyone, 

I was very happy to be asked by Abs of AALL & Create to make some samples for the Creative World fair in Frankfurt in Germany which took place on 26th - 29th of January. I will share all of them in the near future. I hope you'll like these new released stamps by Olga Heldwein ! I will list all the stamps, old and new, under the photos. 

I started this postcard by brayer-ing acrylic paints over a piece of 6 x 4 card stock. I then placed a stencil on top and wiped away some of the paint. I also added modelling paste through the same stencil. Next I added stamping and splattering. Next I stamped the dog and the sentiment on white card stock and coloured the dog and the balloon. I then cut him out and adhered him onto the card. The sentiment was cut into strips and added.

Hello everyone,

For this postcard I finger-painted a piece of 6 x 4 card stock with light blue and pink paints. I added white to make everything lighter. I then used a stencil as a stamp by rubbing a Distress Oxide pad over it, spraying it with water and pressing it onto the card. I love this effect. I also stamped the background and some of the stamping was heat embossed. Once I was happy I scraped black paint along the edges to frame the card. I also added white splatters. The dog was stamped, coloured and cut out; I placed him on the card on top of some washitape to ground him. The sentiment was stamped, cut apart and also adhered.
