Gym and tonic

 Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a card I made for AALL & Create. I used another one of the Miss Dees. I think she is hilarious. I did change the sentiment a little to make it fit my feelings towards exercise. Lol

Here's how:

First, I made a gelli print with this stencil and acrylic paint.

Next I added stamping, I used Versafine Clair Inks.

I then used white paint to tone it down, added white splatters with a paint pen and went around the edges with a pallet knife and black acrylic paint.

Next I stamped the Dee I wanted to use and some sentiments which I will use to make a new sentiment.

I added washi tape on the card for Dee to stand on and coloured her with Copic Markers. Initially I coloured her pants and scrunchy blue but then decided green would be better so I just went over with a green marker. I then cut her out and assembled the sentiment.

The finished card. Lastly I glued the panel onto a white card and added turquoise pencil under the words.

I have used the following materials:

Stencil #136 - Bug Hotel by Autour de Mwa
Washi tape #20 - Verde Que Te Quiero Verde by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#339 - Colour Theory
#692 - Africal Voices
#758 - Hidden Words
#789 - Workout Dee
#786 - Travel Dee
#785 - Therapist Dee
All by Janet Klein

Playing chess

Hello everyone,

I have another project for AALL & Create to share with you. I have made a set of 6 ATC's with the lovely Chess Pieces set by Bipasha.

And here's how:

The products by AALL & Create I used.

First I made a gelli print using some of these stamps to add interest to the print.

Next I brayered white paint over the page and when I was happy I cut it into 6 pieces of card to the size of ATC's. (3,5 x 2,5 inch). I then took this fab stencil by Abs (Autour) and used it as a stamp with Oxide Inks.

I then used this set by Louise Nelson to stamp the background.

The Chess Pieces were stamped on the ATC's and on white card stock. This way I could colour the pieces on the white card and cut them out to adhere on the ATC's.

This is how that looks ! I did add some washi tape by Dina Wakley and typed the names of the Chess Pieces again to adhere over the washi tape. Lastly I doodled a little here and there.

I have used :

Stampsets:
#133 - Makers Marks by Louise Nelson
#122 - Chess Pieces by Bispasha BK
#117 - Organics by Louise Nelson
Stencils:
#45 - Digital Bubbles by Autour de Mwa
#39 - Lotza Dots by Autour de Mwa

Wicked

Hello everyone,

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made two projects: an ATC and a postcard. They are both Halloween themed because it is almost that time of year !

For this ATC I used some paper I got left from last year. I coloured lil' Boo and glued him on, on top of the sentiment. I then went around the card with white paint.
You'll find lil' Boo HERE.

The background for this postcard is a gelli print I had lying around. I printed the image, coloured her and cut her out. I adhered her onto the postcard and added a sentiment which I got from Ray Bradbury's book 'Something wicked this way comes'. A little washi tape finished it off.

You'll find this lovely girl HERE.
