A new era of imagination

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard. I cut it by hand this time.

Here is how I made this:

First I coloured the card stock with Distress Oxide inks - Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Kitsch Flamingo. I used a blending tool for this. I then rolled over some white acrylic paint with a brayer.
After this dried I added some stamping with set #568 and heat embossed it with white powder.

Next more stamping with set #457 and Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin.

Next I added some stencilling with stencil #110 and Black Soot Distress Oxide.

I chose this camera from set #1225 by Bipasha as my focal point. I stamped it with Copic Friendly ink.

And because the card wasn't busy enough :o) I added some rub-ons from set #10 too. Only a few tiny bits though...

Next washi tape. I used #96 Sugar Roll by Bipasha which is a layering washi. I just tore some pieces of and used it as an 'ordinary' washi tape ie. to ground things on and to add more interest.

Here is the card, all put together. These images easily used on a vintage card but I thought it would be nice with bright colours too. I think it worked !

I have used:

Washi tape #96 - Sugar Roll by Bipasha Bk
Stencil #110 - Digits Checked by Bipasha Bk
Rub-ons #10 - Red Red Wine by Autour De Mwa & Co

Stamps:
#568 - ABCs by Bipasha Bk
#457 - Background Voices by Bipasha Bk
#1225 - Lens & Lines by Bipasha Bk

Other materials:
Versafine Clair Nocturne
Memento Tuxedo Black (for Copic Colouring)
Copic Markers
Distress Oxide Inks - Black Soot, Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumkin

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday and Happy Boxing Day. I hope you all had a nice Christmas! For my last post this year I have made a Memory Dex card. It features Miss Dee in her party frock, ready for the New Year's Eve party!

I am stepping down from the VLS team at the end of the year, at least for a little while....

I cut the card out of a gelli print I made with a star stencil and some acrylic paint. The stars were white after printing so I coloured them with paint markers.
I added a tiny bit of stamping and then printed Miss Dee. This Miss Dee came out sometime this year and she is officially called Barb-Dee.
I coloured her with my Copics and decided to pair her with a stamped sentiment of one of the Miss Dee stamps by AALL & Create #761 - Bobby Dee. The happy came from a set with just sentiments #666 - Everyday Sentiments and the 2025 came from #1247 - Bits of Alpha.

Well, I am out for my New Year's Eve Party and will say Happy New Year to all of you ! Thanks for following me !

You'll find Barb-Dee HERE

 Hello everyone,

I have one more Christmas project to share. This one is a Memory Dex card in Christmas colours.

Here's how:

I used washi tape #2 to cover the edges of this piece of Card stock ready to die cut.

I used Die #72 to cut out the Memory dec card. I also cut out the piece that goes on top.

Next I stamped the focal images I planned to use. I used sets #1216, 1195 and #1192.

I coloured the images with Copic markers and then cut them out.

I then started work on the background. I made a gelli print with stencil #126 and Versafine Clair in Avocado.

I cut the bottom of the cover die again, this time out of a piece of left over Design Paper from set #11.

Next was stamping the background. I used sets #1162, #366 and #1110 with Versafine Clair inks in Avocado, Strawberry and Nocturne. So now all the elements for this Memory Dex card are ready. Time to put everything together.

Merry Christmas

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made a Christmas Card.  As a lot of people know I am not the biggest fan of Christmas and I am really not keen on the traditional red and green. So for this card I chose blues. I think it looks great!

Here's how:

I cut a card with die #34. This is going to be a card topper to go on a white A6 card.

After colouring the card with Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass and Blueprint Sketch I used the darker of the two to stencil on the card. I used #232 by Janet Klein.

Next I added a little stamping using sets #338 en #758 with Distress Oxide Ink Tumbled Glass and Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Next I stamped the girl from set #1190 and I made a sentiment from the two text stamps in the same set. I die cut the sentiment with one of the speech bubbles of die set #72.

I coloured the little girl with Copic Markers and then cut her out.

I adde some washi tape for her to stand on and in the right hand corner for balance. I also added a little white paint with a brush in the area where she is going to be glued. This helps her stand our from the background.

And here she is. I think it turned out nice.

I have used:

Die #34 - ScyCrossed Paradise by Autour De Mwa & Co
Die #72 - Bubble Talk by Autour De Mwa & Co
Stencil #232 - Nature Listens by Janet Klein
Washi tape #62 - Raspberry Clafoutis by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#1190 - Sweet Christmas by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#758 - Hidden Words by Janet Klein

Other materials:
DIstress Oxide inks - Tumbled Glass and Blueprint Sketch
Versafine Clair - Nocturne
Copic Markers
White gel pen

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard. I used an older set and it is called "Snow much fun". It came out November last year.

I used a die to cut out the card and then coloured it with Distress Oxide inks and a blending tool. I used 3 shades of blue. Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire. The snow hills were made with a memory dex die #49 by Janet for AALL & Create; I just used the top. I also die cut some clouds from another Memory Dex die #50.
I printed the girl in the sleigh, the sun and the sentiment. After colouring with Copic Markers I cut them out. Lastly I arranged everything on the card and glued it down. I also cut out the mat that comes with this card die in a light blue card stock.

You'll find Snow much fun HERE or HERE

Merry & Bright

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a Christmas card. It is not a conventional card but in my opinion they are the best ones.

Here's how:

Fist I cut a card out of Design paper #7 with die #26.

Next I used a brayer and Distress Oxide ink in Weathered Wood to roll some ink over white card stock. I then stamped some houses from set #1232.

I wanted to used these houses as a background. I coloured them with Distress Oxide Inks in Weathered Wood and Victorian Velvet. I used a water brush to do this.
In the end I only used 1 of the images. (The one on the right).

Back to the background. I used a brayer to roll some white paint over the card and also some of the grey Oxide. I then added stamping with sets #1162 and #1156 and Versafine Clair Nocturne and Distress Oxide in Weathered Wood.

I added a rub on from set #12.

This image was going to be my focal point. I coloured him with Copic Markers and cut him out.

I just got this washi tape this week so I had to use some of it.. It's #121 Blush Parcels.

I decided to add a sentiment from this Miss Dee set #1193 - Deelights. I also added splatters with a white paint pen.

Lastly I added a black mat.

Die #26 - Frayed Frames
