This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday !

Fot today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made another Memory Dex card. They are fantastic little canvasses.

I used a piece of Design Paper by AALL & Create to cut out the Memory Dex Card. They die is also by AALL & Create. I printed Emily Anne and the leaves and sentiment and coloured them. I then cut everything out. I thought a few clouds would be nice so I die cut those out too. I used another piece of Design Paper by AALL & Create. I did tone down the background with white paint and a brayer as I thought it was too busy.  I then assembled everything and I think it came out nice.

Who's your Mummy?

Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a card. It has a Halloween theme and what I like about that is that you can have clashing colours!! haha. So I have used purples, oranges, a bit of red and green.

Here's how:

I cut a card with Die #34 and coloured it with Distress Oxide inks.

Next, I printed stencil #146 on the card using black Oxide ink.

I stamped one of the spiders from stamp set #1198 on the web on places where there was a bit of white so you can still see their eyes.

Next I stamped Dee and coloured her with Copic Markers. I then cut her out.

I added some washi tape (#60) and white paint to make Dee stand out more.

Lastly I cut the mat with die #34 and glued the finished card on it.

Here she is in all her glory!

I have used:

Die #34 - SkyCrossed Paradise
Stencil #146 - Reverse Cobweb by Bipasha Bk
Stamp #1198 - Dee of Darkness by Janet Klein
Epemera #64 - Tricksters Elixers by Janet Klein
Washi tape #60 - Melon Seeds

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard:

These two are adorable, aren't they?

The card was cut with an AALL & Create die.
I made the background on the gelli plate with acrylic paint and a stencil by AALL & Create. The images are from a new set called 'Pumpkin Pets' which was released this week. I printed them and then coloured them and cut them out. I added some stamping and washitape to the card and placed the dog and the cat on the tap. The sentiment and a black mat finished it off.

You'll find the 'Pumpkin Pets' HERE

Boo!

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a memory dex card.

Here's how I made it:

I cut out a memory dex card using die #50

I coloured it with Distress Oxide Inks and then printed stencil #146 on it. I rubbed the stencil with the green Oxide ink pad, spritzed it with water and laid it on the card. I dabbed the excess off with kitchen paper and then had the impression on the card.

I also added a little stamping with sets: #470 and  #956

Some rub-ons from set #5

Next I stamped the cat on the card and on whit card stock ready to colour with Copic Markers.

Here I glued him down on the card.

I added some shading where he was sitting, I used a coloured pencil for this and also added the sentiment which came from set #1203.

I have used the following products:

Die #50 - Sunshine Splendour
Stencil #146 - Reverse Cobweb by Bipasha Bk
Rub-ons #5 - Acid Blends by Autour De Mwa & Co

I made the background on the gelli plate using acrylic paint and a stencil. I then added ink to the edges to make it look a little old. I stamped a little here and there and added washi tape. After printing and colouring the images I cut them out and arranged them on the card. The sentiment is from the same set,

The village idiot

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a Memory Dex card I made for AALL & Create. The size of these cards is so fun as they are small so not intimidating. I know I get overwhelmed by big empty pages sometimes. So this format is fantastic.

Here's how I made this:

I stamped the car with the mouse in it by masking parts of the car off after stamping.

Next I cut out this card out of a gelli print from my stash.

After colouring the car + mouse looked like this. I used watercolours this time for something different. I also like the shabby look it has.

I inked the edges of the card with green and brown Distress Oxide ink, splattered some water on it and dabbed it off. It gave this aged look which I really like. I then added some stamping on the card. (I stamped the card to get the antenna, this way I could just cut it off the coloured image.)

I added some rub-ons. It's getting very busy ! lol

I added washi tape for the car to 'drive' on. I like how you can read the word 'rebel'. Lastly I added a sentence from the Ephemera pack #47 called Laugh Lines.

I have used:

Die #48 - Bloom Bonanza
Rub-on #5 - Acid Blends by Autour De Mwa & Co
Ephemera #47 - Laugh Lines by Autour De Mwa & Co
Stencil #171 - Circle Dance by Janet Klein
Washi tape #31 - Take Risks by Autour De Mwa
Stamps:
#1181 - Dot Dash Grid by Autour De Mwa & Co
#1124 - Cheesed To Meet You by Autour De Mwa & Co
#1112 - Movin' On Up by Autour De Mwa & Co
#1162 - Cirque by Autour De Mwa & Co

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a journal page.

I have used Dracula and Mina, they were released this week.

The background is made with a mop up print from the gelli plate, I just added some stencilling and stamping. I printed and coloured the images and then cut them out. I put down some washi tape and then assembled the page. Some doodling and an ephemera heart finished it off.

You'll find Dracula & Mina HERE

I'll keep the frog

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a square card.

Here's how I made it:

I cut out this card with die #42. I used white card stock.

Next I put yellow and green paint on my gel press plate and laid this stencil (#171) on it. I then covered everything with a piece of typing paper and took off all the paint inside the open spaces by rubbing it with my hands. Next I removed the typing paper, leaving the stencil in place and used a blending tool to add light blue paint where I just removed the yellow and green.

This is how it came out.

I also cut the larger of the two dies. This is going to be the mat.

After toning the print down with a brayer and white paint I stamped it randomly using these stamp sets.

Also adding some bits of rub-on here and there.

The images I was going to use were stamped next and I coloured them with Copic Markers. I then cut them out.

I places some pieces of washi tape, later adding one piece more where the frog was going to go.

and here it is all put together!

I have used the following AALL & Create products:

Die #42 - Papyrus Essence

Rub-on #3 - Greeny Meanies by Autour De Mwa & Co

Washi tape: #59 - Paper Stitches by Janet Klein

Stencil #171 - Circle Dance by Janet Klein

Stamps:
#60 - Lacy Graffiti by Olga Heldwein

#1135 - Princess & Froggy
#758 - Hidden Words
#692 - African Voices
All by Janet Klein
