This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I have a journal spread to share. I made this for my weekly Vera Lane Studio post.  The images I used, apart from the sun, are from the this week released 'Be a sunflower'. The sun is from the Sunshine collage sheet.

I printed the images and coloured them; I then cut them out. I used Copic Markers for the colouring. Next I coloured the pages in my journal with Distress Oxide inks. I toned it down with white paint and then added some subtle white stencilling. When I was happy with how it looked I placed my images on the pages and added the sentiment. I also doodled around the pages and around the sentiment.

You'll find 'Be a sunflower' HERE

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

For this week's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a tag with the newly released 'Silence of growing things'.

I used a piece of gelli printed paper from my stash. The background was made with the Sunflower stencil from AALL & Create. I added a small amount of stamping and some washi tape. (Stamps used and washi tape by AALL & Create). I then coloured the girl and cut her out together with one of the sentiments of the set. I placed her and her watering can on the washitape and that was that !

You'll find this green fingered lady HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by !

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone!

For this week's Vera Lane Studio project I have made a postcard.

These two cuties are from the set 'Mr. & Mrs.' that came out a few weeks ago.
I printed them, coloured and cut them out. The background was made with Distress Oxide inks and a AALL & Create stencil by Janet.
I put some washi tape down and placed them on top.

You'll find these cuties HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today !

The adventure begins

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I have the second inspiration piece for the Country View Challenges April theme 'Things with wings' set by Rachel.

Here's how I made this:

I started off with a piece of gelli printed paper. This was actually a mop up page.

I added stamping

Next I stamped the sentiment I was going to use directly on the card. I also stamped the goofy duck or is it a goose on the card and on a piece of white card stock? I coloured him with Copics and cut him out. I then glued him onto the card.

I added a sentiment by Tim Holtz and som doodling around the card and that was it ! Oh, mustn't lie, I also added a little tiny bit of stamping with orange to tie in the orange of his feet and beak.

Please play along with us; you might win a £20 voucher for the shop ! Just make sure to read the RULES  before you do!

Take flight

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today  have a journal spread which I made for the new challenge over at Country View Challenges. The theme this month was set by Rachel and is 'Things with wings".

I really like how this came out!

Here's how I made it:

First, I chose one of the Found Relatives by Tim Holtz and gave her a tiny bit of colour using colouring pencils.

Next I cut her out.

I then used half of a butterfly from Tim Holtz' pack of 'Layers". I gave that a little colour too, this time with Distress Oxide ink "Vintage Photo".

I used these two inks and a blending tool to add colour to my pages, I did also drip some water on it but you can hardly see it. I suppose it depends on the quality of the paper how much you can achieve.

Next, I stamped the background randomly using these AALL & Create stamps and the same distress Oxide Inks and a VersaFine Clair Nocturne pad.

The sentiment is from this stamp set by Tracy Evans for AALL & Create.

And here it is all put together. I really like it !

We would love for you to play along with us but before you do, make sure to read the rules. You'll find them HERE.
