Waves of happiness

 Hello everyone,

It is Tuesday again! Can you imagine it is June tomorrow? Time does fly! Anyway, I have made a 6" x 6" journal page for AALL & Create today. I used an older stamp by Bipasha that I hadn't used yet. I do love the sea so with Summer around the corner I thought it was time I did use it !

Here's how:

I first made a stencil print by rubbing Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina and Speckled Egg over this stencil, spritzing it with water and printing it on my 6" x 6" piece of water colour paper.

I toned it down slightly by rolling over some white paint with a brayer. I then stamped the background randomly and went around the edges with the same black ink pad to frame it. Later I added some more very subtle stamping.

I wanted to use this lighthouse because I hadn't used it yet and I do love the sea and lighthouses. I have hundreds of photos of lighthouses...

I stamped the words of, waves and happiness on tissue paper to glue onto the banner and to use as a sentiment.

Here is the result.

Next I stamped the lighthouse on my page to get all the details that I can't cut out. I decided to use the banner just as a banner, without everything around it.

I added some pink paint splatters and some washi tape, then placed the images on the page. I added a little shading with a graphite pencil under the banner.
You can see the subtle stamping I was talking about earlier here. It is the same text stamp I used on the edges.

For this project I used the following AALL & Create materials:

Stencil #145 Jumbo ABC's by Bipasha Bk
Washi #24 - Power Words by Bipasha Bk

Stamps, all by Bipasha Bk:
#568 - ABC's
#442 - Sea Essentials
#457 - Background Voices
#642 - Caffeinated
