Arty angel

I have decorated a little MDF stand to use with one of the Angels of Louise's new stampset by AALL & Create. This was great fun to make. 

Here's how:

I started out with gesso-ing my MDF stand. I also got out the stamps and stencils I was going to use. This always helps me to get on. 

I painted the stand with a custard coloured acrylic paint by PaperArtsy. I think it is called 'Cheesecake'. I then added model paste through this stencil by Kassa and while the paste was wet I added embossing powder with a little glitter in it. I heated this carefully because I didn't want any bubbles. 

So lovely and sparkly ! 

Next I coloured the angel and a few other things... I didn't use the sentiment in the end. 

Again I really got carried away and didn't take many photos. My apologies. I did add some paint around the edges with a sponge and added some stamping with the same paint and also with black Archival Ink. I cut out the angel and the other bits I was going to use and added them all to the stand. 

The back: I added the same pattern with the same stencil but I used pink paint this time. The stamping was done with Autour's fabulous A4 stamp by just picking out bits I wanted to use. Works fabulously.
