Jingle Bells

Hello everyone,

Today the lovely and talented Nellie is hosting the Challenge and as a theme she chose: 'Quick & easy Christmas Card. Well I have to tell you I don't really do quick and easy.... but I gave it my best shot and here it is:

Here is a close up of the snow flake...

I started with stamping the snowflake and colouring it with pencils in very light turquoises. I then glued on the seed beads. Next I cut a white panel and a blue glitter panel to go on a white card base. After I glued on the panels I glued on the snowflake. Lastly I stamped the sentiment which says : Jingle your own damn bells!,  but I used only the words Jingle and bells, cut them out, inked the edges with Broken China distress ink and glued them on as well.

I used two stamps for this:

Why not play along with us this week; you could win one of two $30 vouchers. Just remember, only one entry per person per challenge and no digi's.

Thank you for stopping by today !

  1. Since turquoise is one of my favorite colors AND my birthstone, I love your card, Corrie. Those seed beads totally make the snowflake!

  9. I sometimes wish I could manage quick and easy (have spent a lot of today getting cross with a very complicated creation!). I love your sparkly snowflake, and I think you've done a good job with the theme!

  11. Corrie, I can relate because I struggle with quick cards, that is why I challenge myself to submit to Take Ten! When it comes to Christmas card designs I have never found a way to create quickly.
This card is striking and so fresh, I love this idea of a single snowflake. I should use your card as inspiration for Christmas 2016.
    Wishes
    Lynne
