Be yourself

It is the first of the month and that means time for another post for Roc Nicholas. Her stamps, sold by Stampotique,  are great fun to work with.. For this post I made another art journal.

I bought these photo booth strips a while ago and thought it would be a good idea to use one today. So I started off by stamping Ellie three times on white card stock and colouring her with Copic Markers. I then put them under the frame to see how much of each one I needed to put them in the photo frames. I then cut them out. 

I used some scraps of already coloured paper to fill the 'holes' in the strip and I put the Ellies on top. 

Next I started on the background. This was plain white paper which I painted with Dylusions paints. I used yellow, orange and a touch of red. I then applied some model paste through a stencil. I decided to leave it white. I stamped the Heart Vine stamp randomly around the edges and coloured in the stems and the hearts with coloured pencils. Lastly I made the sentiment. I used the 'be' from "just be u' and the 'yourself' from 'unleash yourself'. I stamped the 'be' coloured it and cut it out. The 'yourself' was stamped directly on the bottom of the photo booth strip and coloured in.
