An exercise in colouring

Hello everyone,

Today I have been practising my colouring with pencils. I still think it is a lot more difficult than colouring with Copic Markers. It also takes a lot longer...



This cat is from the latest release of Katzelkraft Stamps and so is the crown. I thought it would be fun to use one of these cats to practise my colouring. The ATC is one I had lying about and all I did was stamp the background with some more Katzelkraft stamps, stamp the cat on white card stock and on the ATC. The cat was then coloured, cut out and glued on top of himself... lol The crown was then stamped, coloured, cut out and glued on his head. It looks like he is looking at it and thinking: 'What the hell....".

    Looks great Corrie, I find colouring with pencils so relaxing and it does take much longer than pens that's why I find it a great way to chill out

    It's great Corrie!!!
    I also love my soft pencils, but I agree with you, it probably takes much longer to color an image than with your Copics... For me I have no Copics (watercoloring is my usual way instead), but I find always more difficult and longer to use only pencils!

    Gaaf een kat met een kroon! Ik heb geen Copics, maar merk dat ik als 1e naar aquarelverf of distress ink reik om te kleuren...vaak zet ik wel accenten met potlood... Fijn weekend verder!

    Very cute cat - the crown suits him and he looks fabulous in his marmalade stripes. I've only got a few Copics, but I do have lots of pencils (collected when I was much younger and before I was really doing anything visual - I just always loved the pencil sets!)... must get them out to play!
