I made a birthday card for a dear friend today, who is not into blogging and stuff so I can show it here. I am also entering it in the November Challenge of Artistic Outpost where the theme is "Anything goes".
The background was made by spraying in with a teal Flat Fabio by Lindy's Stamp gang. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and some white pigment ink for the numbers. I used a piece of paper measuring tape which I inked with DI as a base to stand the boy on. I also used this DI for the edges of the card. Next I stamped the background with a (part of) a stamp of the "Think and wonder" set from Artistic Outpost. The flags were cut with a TH die and stamped with a background stamp from the AO 'Paperboy' set. I adhered them on the card and they glued and stapled some bakers twine over the top. The boy and the word EXTRA! came from the 'Paperboy" set. The little boy was stamped on white card stock, coloured, cut out and adhered to the card with Dimensional adhesive. That was it. I hope my friend likes his card.
Thanks for stopping by !
Your friend will love it!

Prachtig kaartje!!
ReplyDeleteYour birthday friend will not just "like" the card, Corrie, they will love it! I don't always tell you, but I am one of your followers who enjoys reading the step-by-step details of how you created what you have made. This piece is especially attractive to me because my son was a paperboy for many, many years. Great work, great stamps, great talent!! Mwah!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Thanks for playing in the Artistic Outpost monthly challenge!
