This week, over at the Tag Along Challenge blog, the theme is wings. Here's mine :
I cut a tag from white paper and coloured it with Distress Inks and a blending tool. I then stamped a pattern in it with water. All you do is spray the stamp with water and stamp it on the inked background, it sort of bleaches the pattern out. Cool technique... Anyway, I also used a number stamp in the same DI colours and a small polkadot stamp with white ink. Next I stamped the 'ripple' stamp along the edge in three places and went around the edge of the tag with black Archival Ink. That finished the background. I then stamped one of the scribbly birds and water coloured it with a water brush and again the same DI. I cut him out and placed him on some washi tape. Another bit of washi tape was placed in the left hand top corner for balance. I then stamped 'FLY' and clear embossed it to make it even blacker. Lastly I matted the tag on black card stock, put the ribbon through and added a little metal butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by !
Hope you like it.....
It's gorgeous, love it
ReplyDeleteFab use of the scribbly bird.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful Corrie. May I ask what colors of inks you used for the background? Thanks ~ Renee
ReplyDeleteThank you, Renee. I used : Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord and Shabby Shutters, I did go over the Shabby shutters with the Shaded Lilac to darken it a bit. Hope this answers your question.
