The perfect outfit

Hello fellow crafters,

Today I made an art journal spread. I had to try out my new Pan Pastels!! (Thanks Coby ;o))
This is what I came up with:
The background colour was made with yellow and orange Pan Pastels. I then stamped the Tim Holtz retro circles on it with Versamark and went over it again with orange. (If you use Pan Pastels you will have to use a fixative after every layer.) The white polkadots were made with a stencil and white ink. I also put a Paperartsy ledger stamp on here and there and used black Archival ink for a bit of contrast. I made the banner by stamping one of the Dylusions stamps from the "Bags of bunting" set on some patterned paper with text. I coloured the polkadots with orange and red markers and cut them out. I glued some bakers twine in red on the top of the page and hung the little flags on it. The girl is from Stampotique and she is called "Mothloved". You can find her here.
As usual I coloured her with watercolour pencils, clear embossed her and cut her out. I also stamped her on the page so all the little details are still there even if you don't cut very precisely.
The sentiment came from Pinterest and was printed on white paper which I then cut down and glued on bits of washi tape; the same I used to put Mothloved on.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you like it.

  1. Gorgeous page Corrie, I love you use of PanPastels on it and Mothloved is really too beautiful like that !! Love your quote too. Coco x

  2. I really, really like orange and yellow together (and, sometimes, red, too!), so this spread appeals to me in general...but, in particular, I love Mothloved all dressed up like that. She actually looks pretty spiffy! Your quote is too funny...and original? ;-)
