In my dreams

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made an artjournal page with a process video.

I do have some step by step photos but if you like to see how I made this then scroll down and click on the YouTube link.

First I stamped the dog and coloured him with Copic Markers. I then cut him out.

I made the background with a 6 x 6 gelli plate. First I put a layer of white paint on my paper and then I 'coloured in' this stencil with paint. I then pulled the stencil off and waited for the paint on the gelli plate to dry. Once it dried I added a thin layer of white paint and took a print.

This is what it looks like. Of course I then had to tone it down with white paint and a brayer. I do this because I don't want the background to compete with the focal image.

On the toned down version I added stamping and some pink paint splatters.

I then stamped the dog on the page and glued the cut out coloured one over the top. This way I have all the little details. I also added washi tape and some doodle lines.

The sentiment consists of three clipping stickers by Tim Holtz.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a clean and simple card. I used an older set called 'Tiny snow family.' I also used a stamp by AALL & Create and some AALL & Create washitape both designed by Janet. Later in the month I will have a similar card with a video.

The snowman and -dog were printed, coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. I then stamped the background, dried it, added the washi tape and placed man and dog on the top.
Lastly I added the sentiment.

You'll find the Tiny Snow Family HERE.

Not normal

  Hello everyone,

For today's VivaLasVegaStamps! DT post I have made an artjournal spread. I was listening to the news on the radio on a Thursday in mid November when I heard that the Government was talking about another (third) lockdown. I must say I am fed up with this pandemic and with all the measures that have been implemented and don't really work. So, I felt I had to get it out of my system and that's what I did.

I used Amsterdam acrylic paints to create the background and a home made stencil for the polkadots.
I added background stamping and added the face mask and the altered sentiment.

I used the following stamps:

There's no place like home!

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create post I have made a mini book that is rolled up around a card board cilinder. I have used Janet Klein's Wizard of Oz stamps to make this.

Here's how I made this:

I tore two pieces of 12 x 12 design paper by Stamperia into strips and glued them together to make on longer strip. I then added white paint with a brayer to tone down the print. Once that was dry I added stencilling with yellow paint to create 'the yellow brick road'. I also added some numbers for more interest.

Next I added random stamping and I sewed around the edges with my sewing machine.

Here's the whole thing.

Next I stamped my characters and sentiments....

and coloured them with Copic Markers. I cut them all out and ...

glued them onto my paper.

I used a piece of cardboard cilinder from a pack of clingfilm to roll it around.
I added a piece of paper at the left end which I glued to the cardboard.
I also added a piece of ribbon on the right end to be able to keep it closed.

I have used the following materials:

Stencil:
#132 - Flagstone Figures by Autour de Mwa

Stamps:
#495 - + or x by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#501 - Dorothy & Toto by Janet Klein
#503 - Tin Man & Monkey by Janet Klein
#505 - Scarcrow & Lion by Janet Klein

This week at Vera Lane Studio

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday ! For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a postcard with an older set called Winter Brothers. I combined it with a sentiment from the Harry Potter set and I love the outcome!

The boys were printed, coloured with Copic Markers and cut out. The background came from my stash. I added white paint with a brayer and some stamping with one of Janet's stamp sets by AALL & Create. I also used some AALL & Create washi tape, also designed by Janet.

You'll find these adorable boys HERE
The sentiment (I only used part of it) HERE
