I was really exited when Sara Vukson from 100 Proof Press asked me if I was interested in doing some design work for her. Of course I couldn't say no ! It is a great honour to be asked I think !
100 Proof Press has been in existence since 1980 ! In December of 2010 Sara Vukson purshased the company and moved it to the present location in St. Paris Ohio. Their catalog contains over 2500 timeless images, finely detailed and visually diverse.
Anyway, I will be doing some projects for her in the month of February so watch this space !
Besides the lovely rubber stamps she sent met for this job, she also sent me a calendar for 2017, one of those you can decorate yourself and I will do one page every month. This is January's and I know it is a little late but from next month I will post around the 5th of the month..
Here's page one : January:
and here's how I made this:
I coloured a piece of card stock with Distress Inks and a blending tool. I used Broken China, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord and a little bit of Black Soot. Keep adding colour and keep blending until you are happy with the result.
I used water and a stencil to create snowflakes and also splattered some water on it but I didn't really think it was white enough so I repeated the process using paint and the same stencil in a few places on the paper.
Here are the snowflakes and now they are nice and white; I added some stamping too using Distress Inks and Archival ink. With a black pen I drew a line around the edge of the paper panel.
I like how this man looks totally appalled ! lol I cut a circle from white card stock and stamped it with a background stamp. The man was stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic Markers. I cut him out and adhered him to the circle.
The sentiment I used was something I saw on the internet, I just typed it on my old trusty typewriter, cut it into strips and adhered it onto the panel. I used my black pen again to doodle around the word strips.
It was then time to put everything together...
And this is what it looks like all finished. Neat eh?
I have used the following 100 Proof Press Stamps:

Thank you so much for stopping by today !
What a fabulous calendar page, Corrie. Thanks for sharing how each piece was done - it all goes together perfectly! I wonder what you will do for February?
