Today is Wednesday and that means another challenge over at the Stampotiqe Designers' Challenge blog. Today's challenge was set by the wonderful, very talented France Papillon and this is what she said :
"Hi! My name is France and I'm a bookworm. No doubt there are a lot of other bookworms among our lovely Stampotiquers.
I would like to know about your favorite books. So my challenge for you, should you accept it, is to create a piece, inspired by your favorite book. Let the story, the title, the cover, a quote inspire you! Now you might have a problem choosing your all time favorite book, don't worry, it's not like you are writing it in stone, just pick one. Or maybe your problem is that you don't like reading at all. Here is how to cheat: go for your favorite film based on a book, we won't tell ;)))
Have a great week all!
xx"
I love books and children's books alike. So for today I chose 'Alice in Wonderland' as my inspiration.
I made a postcard:
I started out with a postcard sized piece of white card stock which I painted with light yellow acrylic paint. I then brushed some pink Distress ink over it. I used the same ink to stamp a bit of text and of course I had to use my trusty bottle top again. I also used a bit of foam (packing material) which I cut into a harlequin shape and used white ink to stamp with it. Next I stamped (part of) the barcode. The Queen of Hearts was stamped on white card stock and coloured with Copic Markers. After cutting her out I adhered her on her barcode. I then stamped the banner in the left top corner and also on pattern paper in nice pastel colours. I cut the little flags out and adhered them on top of the stamped ones. The sentiment is from Alice in Wonderland and was made with a label maker.
I used the following Stampotique stamps:
Queen of Hearts (Janet Klein)
Barcode (France Papillon)
Banner (France Pappilon)
Fax to Wolfgang (Amy Wilson Wellenstein)
Thanks for stopping by !
Hope you like it....
