Flowers just for you

 Hello everyone,

For this week's AALL & Create project I have made a postcard.

Here's how:

I used this stamp to make a gelli print. First I printed the green background with just paint. I then stamped this stamp here and there on the gelli plate using Distress Oxide ink, I then put the paper back on the plate and pulled a print. Remember that if you gelli print with text, it will all be backwards in your print. I don't mind that but it is good to know.

Next I added some heat embossing with white powder.

and of course some more stamping.

Next the flower I wanted to use. I stamped it three times and coloured it and cut it out.

I lengthened the stems with strips of paper.

I stamped the sentiment next.

here it is, all put together!

I have used the following stamps, all by Tracy Evans

#986 - The Good
#993 - Vertical Stems
#992 - 30 Days
#625 - Vine
#1007 - It's Acer Officer

  1. It’s gorgeous I don’t have a gelli plate and am curious as to why you have used it in this case to stamp an image

    1. Hi Karen, it's just to show what you can do with a gel plate. Obviously I could have just stamped the image but using the gel press plate the print becomes a little lighter and softer which I like. You can also use it to reverse an image like I did with the chickens for today's blogpost. https://madebychook.blogspot.com/2023/12/rise-and-shine.html Hope this helps, Corrie.
