This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!

For today's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a Memory Dex card with the newly released set "Belle Pepper'.

I printed her and coloured her with Copic Markers. I cut her out and then prepared the background. I used a piece of Design paper and cut out the card. I added some paint, rub-ons and stamping. I also cut out a label from the same Design Paper set.
When I was happy I placed her on the card, added a piece of string to the label and adhered that too.

You'll find Belle Pepper HERE

Stay in balance

 Hello everyone,

For today's AALL & Create project I have made a Memory Dex card. I cut it from one of my favourite papers from the paperback #5. I love how it came out:

Here's how I made it:

I cut the card from paperback #5. This is my favourite design in the pack. I use it sparingly! lol

I toned it down a little with a brayer and white paint and then added some stamping using Janet's sets #338 and #692. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne for that.

Next I added some pieces of rub-on, concentrating on the blue bits of set #3. I thought it needed a little blue.

Next I stamped the little tightrope walker and coloured her with Copic markers. I then cut her out.

I used one of the lines of the second page of these rub-ons #12 to act as a tightrope.

and there it is. I added a sentiment from stamp set #1208 which I coloured with a blue Copic Marker at the bottom.

I think it came out super-cute !

I have used:

Die #47 - Floral Parade
Design Paper #5 - Citrus Rainbow by Autour De Mwa & Co
Rub-ons #3 - Greeny Meanies by Autour De Mwa & Co
Rub-ons #12 Coffee Numberistic by Autour De Mwa & Co
Stamps:
#692 - African Voices by Janet Klein
#338 - Background Noise by Janet Klein
#1208 - Funambulism by Janet Klein

Further supplies:
White acrylic paint to tone down the card
Versafine Clair - Nocturne for stamping the background

Peace on earth

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a card I made for AALL & Create.

Here's how

First I cut out a card with die #34; I used design paper #11 for this.

Next I added some colour with Distress Oxide ink Rusty Hinge and some Distress Spritz in Spiced Marmalade.

I also added some rub-ons from set #12.

Next was stamping. I used set #948 and set #1110 with Versafine Clair Morning Mist and the same Distress Oxide ink in Rusty Hinge.

I stamped the images and sentiment that I wanted to use and coloured the angel.

Here she is all coloured up. I then cut her out and glued the wings to her back. I could have used a masking technique and stamped everything together but I am a little lazy that way! lol

A few bits of washi tape #2, a very old one, for her to stand on and in the top left corner.

I also cut the mat from die set #34 in black card stock.

And here it is, all put together.

I have used:
Die #34 - SkyCrossed Paradise
Design Paper #11 - Rusty Rhythms by Bipasha Bk
Rub-ons #12 - Coffee Numberistic by Autour De Mwa & Co
Washi Tape #2 - Inspire by Autour De Mwa
Stamps:
#948 - Define Christmas by Janet Klein
#1110 - Time Heals All by Autour De Mwa & Co

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday !

For this week's Vera Lane Studio post I have made a little accordion book with the set 'Chicken Coop' that was released this week.

I printed the chickens then coloured them with Copic Markers and cut them out.
The background was made with Distress Oxide inks in yellows and orange. I also stamped the background randomly using the same colours and.
I glued the chickens and the sentiment into the book, added some doodling along the edges and that was that.
The outside was kept simple with pattern paper from my stash and a bit of ribbon.

You'll find Chicken Coop HERE.

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a tag I made with an older set called 'Gnomes and Sheep'. This is one of my favourite sets by Janet.

How cute are they! There are a few more in the set too. I printed them, then coloured and cut them out. I used Copic Markers to colour all the images. I then cut a tag (by hand) out of watercolour card and used Distress Ink (Pumice Stone) and Distress Oxide ink (Fossilised Amber) to colour it. I just smooshed the ink pads on my craftsheet and spritzed with water after which I dunked the tag into the ink.
When I was happy I added some stamping and washi tape. I glued down the images and the sentiment.

You find the 'Gnomes and Sheep' HERE or HERE

Think Strong

 Hello everyone,

Fot this week's AALL & Create project I have made a Memory Dex Card.

Here's how I made this:

First I cut out the memory dex card with die #49 - Spring Sprouts.

I then used a blending tool and Distress Oxide Inks to colour the card. I used: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkins and Kitsch Flamingo. I then splashed some water on it and dried it with kitchen towel.

Next I used stencil #58 - Mock-croc and white acrylic paint to add some interest to the card.

Next I used these stamps to add even more interest. I white embossed stamp #1181 and used Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin, Kitsch Flamingo and Versafine Clair Nocturne to stamp the two other stamps.

One of the images I was going to use was the Big Top from set #1206,  I cut it with the same die so it would fit nicely on my card.

I also stamped the strong man, the arrow and the word circus (which I didn't use in the end). Sets #1206 and #1208.

After I coloured everything and cut them out I added the images to the card. I added some washitape for the strong man to stand on and also put some black Stabile All pencil here and there which I washed out with a brush and some water to get some shading.

I have used:
Die #49 - Spring Sprouts
Stencil #58 - Mock-croc by Autour De Mwa
Washi tape #51 - Love Land by Janet Klein
Stamps:
#1181 - Dot Dash Grid by Autour De Mwa & Co
and

This week at Vera Lane Studio

 Hello everyone,

For this weeks Vera Lane Studio post I have made yet another Memory Dex Card.

I have used the newly released 'Wine not' which featured Miss Dee.
I printed her, table and the bottles then coloured the images with Copic Markers. The background of this die-cut card was made with Distress Oxide Inks and a blending tool. I used : Mustard Sees, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Carved Pumpkin. I added some heat embossed stamping and some regular stamping using the same inks and a black. I also added some Rub-ons.
When I was happy with the background I glued the images on the card. I chose a different sentiment to go with this image; this is from a stamp set by AALL & Create called 'Boozer Dee'.

You'll find this Miss Dee HERE

Stay focused on your journey

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog where today I am sharing a card that I made with mostly Bipasha Bk products by AALL & Create.

Here is how I made this:

First, I cut out a card with a mat with Die #34. The card is cut from Design paper the mat is white card stock. I didn't have the right colour so I used white card which I will colour with ink.

I used Distress Oxide Ink in Walnut Stain which I applied with a blending tool.

After I toned the card down with acrylic paint and a brayer I added some stamping using Distress Ink Tattered Rose (I used Distress Ink because I didn't have any other ink in the right colour), Versafine Clair in Nocturne and Acorn.

Because I wanted to use my watercolour paints I stamped the focal images in Versafine Clair because that is waterproof after drying.

I made another mat, this time for the sentiment which came from set #1225 Lens & Lines. Again I used a blending tool and Distress Oxide ink in Walnut Stain.

I kept the colours quite dark and earthy. I wanted to give the card a vintage vibe.

Adding some washi tape #15 - Twine for a little more interest.

I added some more colour to everything with coloured pencil and then splattered white paint from a paint pen on the images here and there and then arranged everything on the card. When I was happy I glued everything down using liquid glue and some dimensional tape.

I have used the following AALL & Create products:
