Real gentlemen

Hello everyone,

I made this art journal yesterday as it was a rather dark and dull Sunday here. I've used my PaperArtsy goodies for this one.

I painted the pages with green and turquoise Fresco Paints and then added white with a baby wipe over the top, concentrating on the edges of the pages. I also stamped the rings with the same white paint. I added some more stamping with Archival Inks and then stamped the gentlemen on separate paper, this was blank book paper and also on the pages. I coloured out the text in the stamp and then restamped and cut it out to use separately on the page. (The stamp of the gentlemen is much bigger and the text is actually inside the black of their jackets; I just cut out the middle and only used the right and left side of the stamp.
I have used three different sets for this I think..

Anyway that was about it !

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

  1. What a gorgeous painty background - I love the smoky softness of the colours, and great work with the stamping, creating great drama with the division.

  4. I love your color choices on this art piece. I would love to know the color names of the Fresco Paper Artsy colors you used. I have always loved those colors together. Thanks so much for sharing this. Cheers Cecilia

    1. Hi Cecilia, I have used 'Granny Smith' and 'Captain Peacock' for the background and then wiped over some 'Snowflake'. I hope this helps. Corrie
