Bob's in..... danger !!

Hello fellow Crafters,

It's Wednesday,  Christmas is over,  and it is the 5th and final day of the Stampotique month-long challenge set by Kim. This is what she said:

"This our last challenge of the year and it will run the whole month of December.  Our theme is an easy one so show us your best work using Anything Goes.
For this month only, you will have the opportunity to enter the challenge 5 times (one for each week)- 5 chances to win the random $30 gift certificate for Stampotique stamps. We hope we see a lot of you entering!".

I made a card:

I painted a piece of card stock with blue and white acrylic paint. I shaded the edges with Big Brush Pitt pens also in blue. Next I did some background stamping.
The firework was hand drawn and coloured with Copics. Bob, his hat and the flags were all stamped on white card stock and also coloured with Copics. I then cut them out and went around the edges with a black marker to colour any white edges that were left after cutting them out. I did stamp just the top of the flags on the card so that I could see where to adhere them and to have the string on the card as that would be very difficult to cut out. Next I adhered everything to the card. The 'new year' was made with sticky letters. I used the following stamps for this card:

Thanks for stopping by ! Have a great New Years eve and a very happy and healthy New Year !

A new adventure !

Hello fellow Crafters,

Finally I can share my great news with you. I have been invited to join the VivaLasVegaStamps! Designteam. Yay ! I am very excited about this as I think their stamps are wonderful and quirky and original ! To celebrate I made a little tag:

I think this little girl is adorable ! Anyway I started with a white tag that I die cut.  I stamped the flourish at the bottom with Versamark and white embossed it. I then used a blending tool and Distress Inks in the colours Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord. I dripped some water over the top to get some lighter spots.
Next the butterflies were stamped half on the edge of the tag with Archival Ink and I used a water brush to lighten the wings; as they didn't get light enough to my liking I also used a white gel pen to accentuate the lighter spots a bit more. All over the background I also stamped a script stamp with grey ink; it is very subtle..
I stamped the girl on white card stock and coloured her with Copic Markers, cut her out and adhered her to the tag. The last thing was the sentiment which I think is quite appropriate and was made using Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers.

I used the following stamps :

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it and I hope I gave you some inspiration !

Beauty

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today for my DT post for Lost Coast Designs I made a card. If you love these stamps too and live in the Netherlands or Europe you can get them at www.Inkadinkadutchies.nl.

This card was started with a card blank of 5" x 7".  Next I cut a piece of Designer Paper and a black mat to go on top of the card. The edges of the DP were aged with Distress Inks. First I used 'Tattered Rose' and then 'Black Soot'.
I tore a piece of fabric and made a bow out of it which was adhered to the DP. Next I stamped one of the 'Gibson Girls' and coloured her with Copic Markers. She was die cut with a circle die and edged with 'Tattered Rose' Distress Ink. I die cut another circle, slightly bigger, from black card stock as a mat. These were adhered together and then adhered to the DP.
Next I stamped the word 'Beauty' using the 'License Plate Alphabet' set. To finish this card off I used some small sequins that were adhered with tacky glue..
Next I adhered the DP to the black mat and the whole thing to the card blank.

A bottle marked 'poison'..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with lots of family, great food and lovely pressies. I did.. I got this :

I was very happy to find this under the tree and today I have been playing with them. I must say it is not as easy as it looks. Copics are much easier but I am impatient and I think I will probably learn if I persevere and practise..

I did an art journal today and I used the pencils for colouring Alice and the background of the signpost.

I painted the pages with blue, green, yellow and orange acrylic paint. I then painted over the top with white gesso which I dabbed with a baby wipe. You get a bit of a faded background that way. Next I used a Crafter's Workshop flower stencil and some Distress Inks in the same colours to create a border around the pages.
The background was stamped randomly with white, grey and black ink. (A complete list of all the stamps I used is at the bottom of this post). Next I stamped Alice and coloured her with my new pencils. I really enjoyed the process. The sentiment is from Alice in Wonderland and I hand wrote this on a piece of white card stock which I coloured also with colour pencils.  The frame and pole of the sign were made from a scrap of dark brown card stock. Alice was glued on the page on top of some washi tape to ground her. The little spider webs were drawn by me. Lastly I stamped some crows, cut them out and adhered them too.

I used the following stamps (all from Stampotique)

I hope you like it and I gave you some inspiration....

Naughty or nice..

Hello fellow Crafters,

It's Wednesday again and the 4th week of Kim's Challenge 'Anything goes'.

For this week I made a card:

I used one of my finger painted circles for this to make a bauble... There seem to be a lot of baubles in my December projects... Anyway, I used a piece of white card stock and coloured it using Distress Inks. I used three shades of green and a tiny bit of blue at the bottom. Next I used a stencil to make the stars with a white pigment ink and I dripped some water on it. Now it was time to glue the 'bauble' down. I used a piece of silver card stock for the top of the bauble and drew the little hook and the string.  Next I stamped little 'Smile', coloured him and cut him out. I made his arm slightly bigger to make it fit. I also drew some antlers for him. This was all adhered to the card and lastly I made the sentiment with my label maker and adhered it to the card too. I only used one stamp which is 'Smile' and you will find him HERE.

Thanks for stopping by !

Little 'Love' canvas..

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today for my DT post for Lost Coast Designs I made a canvas. These wonderful stamps are available via www.Inkadinkadutchies.nl if you live in the Netherlands or Europe..

I started off with a canvas board and covered it with tissue paper. I toned it down slightly with gesso and when that was dry I painted it with 'Broken China' Distress Paint. Next I used a stencil and put the flowers and the little crosses on with model paste and the hearts with Glass Bead Gel.
Next I used some Sand Texture paste around the edges and after it dried I dry brushed it with a mixture of Paynes Gray and Quinacridone gold. This resembles rust. I also used the Quinacridone gold to age the rest of the canvas. Next I rubbed the model paste with black Archival inkt and also stamped the background randomly.
The large heart was made from a corrugated envelope. I ripped it here and there and painted it red. After that dried I aged this as well with the same mixture of Paynes Gray and Quinacridone Gold.
Next I wrapped some twine around the canvas and created the bow by just wrapping the twine around my hand and securing it in the middle by tying it to the wrapped twine. It was then time to adhere the heart to the canvas. I used gel medium for this. I used two shades of brown Big Brush Pens to add shading around all the hearts. The last thing I did was stamping the word 'LOVE', cutting the letters out and adhering them to the heart with gel medium..

I used the following stamps: Magic Dictionary and License Plate Alphabet.

Oh my ears...

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have a postcard to share today. I am still in Wonderland; I love using these quotes from the Alice in Wonderland books and they go so well with Janet Klein's stamps..

To start I stamped 'Rabbit' on a postcard sized piece of card stock and coloured him with Copic Markers. I then stamped him again to make a mask. This was put over the stamped and coloured image. Next came the Distress Inks. I used 3 shades of green, 3 shades of blue and a tiny bit of purple to create the background. I dripped some water over it to get some lighter spots. With the mask still in place, I stamped the background and the barcodes. A list of all the stamps I used is at the bottom of this post. Next I doodled the lines around the card and used my cookie cutter and a bottle cap to stamp the rings; I used a white pigment ink and black Versafine ink for this. The splatters were made with black Dylusions and a white paint pen that I shook above the paper. So then the mask came off; until now it is all one layer.
The sentiment is a quote from AIW and I typed it on white card stock with my old typewriter. I adhered it to the card with liquid glue and used a black pen to doodle around the strips of paper.

I used the following stamps (all Stampotique)

Time flies..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have been playing with my journal again !! Here's the result :

This page was started with acrylic paint in two shades of pink and some gesso. I just kept putting paint on until I liked the result. The flowers were made with a stencil, I smushed my Versamark pad on it to get the ink on the pages and then sprinkled pink embossing powder over the top and heated it to melt.
Next some background stamping. I used all VivaLasVegaStamps! for these pages by the way. I will list them under this post. The ladies were stamped inside a polaroid photo frame. I used a stamp positioned to get them just in the right spot. They were coloured with Copic Markers and I used clear embossing powder over the top (two layers) to get the shiny effect of a real photo. I adhered it to the page using glue. The washitape is just for show.. I was looking for a sentiment and couldn't really find one so I made one using bits of different sentiment stamps. I didn't have the word 'when' anywhere so I used stickers for that.

I used the following stamps:
Grungy 5 - 19456
Grungy 3 - 19454
Grungy 8 - 19459
Ladies drinking tea/coffee - 18282
Polaroid print - 17543
Waybill/Invoice background - 19416
Time flies - 19008
Feed your soul - 18926
Are we having fun yet? - 10905

Red roses..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I love Alice in Wonderland and have another Art Journal to share, this time it features the Queen of Hearts.

I used a gelli print for the background and started with painting the spot where the queen was going to go with gesso to make her stand out more. Next I wrote the sentiment with a black fine tipped pen and put some white on the letters to make them more interesting. Not sure I like the writing though, sticky letters might have been better.. I used a very fine tipped pen for the border around the page.
I stamped the background with 'Fax to Wolfgang' and white ink. I also used the 'Seaweed' stamp and coloured the little circles red. The queen was stamped on white paper and coloured her with Copic markers. I cut her out and glued her to the page on top of some washi tape.

I used the following Stampotique Stamps:

Jingle your own....

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is the third Wednesday of the 'Anything goes' Challenge set by Kim.

For this week I did a mini art journal. It really is tiny.. about 4 x 2,25 inches maybe..

I started off with a piece of a gelli print on which I used some bubblewrap which resembles snowflakes, I think... lol. I used a silver pen to draw the stars. Next I punched a whole lot of circles from pattern paper; they were going to be turned into baubles. I used some silver paper to make the tops of the baubles. I shaded them somewhat and used a white pen for a light spot. They were adhered to the page and I then drew around them and drew the little hooks at the tops. I also drew a double line around the page.
Next I made the 'floor' bit slightly darker with a Big Brush Pitt Pen.
I stamped the little angel and coloured and cut her out. The dress is actually pattern paper with I paper pieced on top of the original. Lastly I couldn't resist to use this sentiment ... it is still very funny I think..
I used only two stamps in this spread: Tree Topper
                                                              Jingle your own ....

Tag Along Challenge #68

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have not been taking part in the Tag Along Challenge as much I would like lately... This week the theme is 'Reindeer'. Now,  I had to think a little bit as I do not own any reindeer stamps and also have no Ephemera depicting reindeer.
My favourite stamp from Roc Nicholas is 'Horse' so I decided to give him an 'operation' and turn him into a reindeer !

I used some Designer Paper with little reindeer on for the tag but painted some of the pattern out as I thought it was too busy. The area behind the 'Horse'/reindeer was painted with blue acrylic paint..
The bottom of the tag has a different bit of DP to suggest the ground the reindeer is standing on.
I inked the edges and then stamped the 'Horse', masking off certain bits, like his hat, his mane, his nose and his tail. I redrew those. I coloured him with Copic Markers, cut him out and adhered him on his prepared area on the tag. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and White embossed.  A bit of ribbon and a bit of twine finished the tag off.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it....

Art journal

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have an art journal to share with you. I made this last week and boy was it difficult. Mr. Mojo must have had a day off... In the end I did it but I am still not sure whether I like it or not...

I used Lost Coast Design Stamps for this : Shadow frames set, Loopy Calligraphy, Magic Dictionary and the girl is Manga Goth Harlequin... These stamps are available in Holland/Europe via : www.Inkadinkadutchies.nl.

I though I would be clever and use one of the Shadow Frames and stamp it repeatedly on the page, overlapping here and there to get some different blues. While it was wet it was great but when it dried it just turned all the same colour, oh well... I used a light blue Archival ink for this.
Next I stamped the background. The white letters have been white embossed in a few places to make them whiter as the white chalk ink does fade a bit as it dries. I also used a stencil with different inks, Distress Ink in Pink Raspberry and Black soot. The blue scalloped bits are paint swatches from the DIY Store. I matted them on some beige paper. Next I drew the black lines around the page with a fine tipped pen. The girl was stamped on white card stock and coloured with Copics, I then cut her out and put her on the page and didn't think she stood out enough so out came the white paint and I dry brushed some as a background for her. Better but still not great I think.. I'll let you make up your own mind...

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it and got some inspiration ....

Mad Hatter..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I did this art journal last week and thought I'd share it with you..

I painted the background with 2 shades of blue and one shade of green acrylic paint. I stamped the background with 'Fax to Wolfgang', blue on blue and green on green and then inked the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I also used two stencils, one with white pigment ink and one with Distress ink.
Next I stamped 'Daisy daisy' along the bottom of the page, coloured in the flowers with a white paint pen and then went over that with Copic Markers; red for the petals and yellow for the heart of the flowers. 'Mad Hatter' was stamped in white card stock, coloured and cut out. I adhered him in between the daisies. The sentiment is a quite from Alice in Wonderland and says :

There is a place
like no place on earth.
A land full of wonder,
mystery and danger.
Some say, to survive it,
you need to be
as mad as a hatter,
which, luckily, I am!

I though it was finished then but I kept looking at it and thought it needed something more. So out came the 'Banner'. I stamped it on yellow/red pattern paper and coloured some bits in with red Copic Markers. Now it was finished...

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it...

Here's lookin' at you kid!

Hello fellow Crafters,

I (eventually) had fun making this art journal...

This was quite a challenge... I started with Gelato's and water and hated it... I have come to the conclusion that I am probably the only person in the world that doesn't like Gelato's ! Oh well... never mind. I ended up sealing it with gel medium and then I just rubbed an Archival Ink pad over it... lol..
I also used the same ink (colour: Rose Madder) and a stencil to create some pattern in each corner.
Next I did some background stamping.
I bought the Row of Faces second hand an I stamped them on white card stock, coloured them and cut them out. I matted them on book text and adhered them to the pages, connecting them with a black line as on the original stamp..
Next I stamped Wilbur, coloured him and cut him out. I adhered him on the page on top of some washi tape. I also put the same washitape in two other places for balance. Some leftover rub ons formed the rectangles.
I found some die cut flowers in my stash and decided to use them too. I doodled around them after adhering them.
Lastly I took my Archival Jet Black Ink and rubbed it around the edges and adhered the sentiment which I made with Tim Holtz letters.
I used the following stamps (all by Stampotique):

Proof of fun

Hello fellow Crafters,

The shaker card seems to be all the rage at the moment. I think they are rather sweet so I decided to make one with Stampotique stamps:

I started with a piece of white card stock, slightly smaller than the card front. I put a Tim Holz stencil on it and dabbed a Versamark ink pad on it. I then sprinkled clear embossing powder on the card panel and heat set it. Over the top of that I used a blending tool and 3 shades of blue Distress Inks. I think this is such a cool effect.... I also dripped some water on to get some lighter spots.
It was then ready to have the window cut out and I used a die for this. Next I took another piece of white card stock the same size and marked the die cut hole on it. This was my guide for the stamping. I started with 'Proof of fun' which is part of the 'Barcode Text' stamp and then used my home made (by hubby) stamp positioner to put 'Goat Monster' on top. I then coloured him with Copic Markers.
Next I cut some acetate and glued it on the back of the die cut hole. Now it was time to build the actual shaker bit. With foam tape I made a little 'wall' around the window; I used two layers. I also put two layers of the same tape around the edge of the card. Before I did the long sides I wrapped the twine around. I filled the space where the window is with sequins and seed beads. I then put both card panels together. This whole thing was then adhered to the card. The last thing I did was make the bow. I just wrapped some twine around my hand, secured it in the middle by tying it to the twine underneath. A dab of glue was put under it to make sure it doesn't move..

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it...

X-mas Junkie

Hello fellow Crafters,

and happy Wednesday to you. This is the second week in the last  (lasting all December) Challenge of the year for Stampotique and it is an "Anything Goes" by the lovely Kim.  This is what she said :

"This our last challenge of the year and it will run the whole month of December.  Our theme is an easy one so show us your best work using Anything Goes.
For this month only, you will have the opportunity to enter the challenge 5 times (one for each week)- 5 chances to win the random $30 gift certificate for Stampotique stamps. We hope we see a lot of you entering!".

I made another art journal :

I saw a tutorial on YouTube by Rianne from the Craftorij where she made circles with paint and her fingers. You'll find the video HERE. So I thought I'd give it a go and had a blast. I made several sheets (deli paper) in different colours. I decided to use some of the orange ones today and pretend they were baubles....  But first I had to colour my pages. I used my watersoluble crayons in 3 shades of blue. I blended the colours with my fingers and used some gel medium of the top to make the surface non porous. I cut out 5 of the orange circles and adhered them to the page with gel medium.  I drew the lines and bows. Next I stamped the background, only sparingly because there is so much going on already. I also made a quick stencil by punching a snowflake out or a bit of card and used this with white pigment ink. Because it takes soooooo long to dry I sprinkled sparkly embossing powder over it and heat embossed it. No patience you see !!!
Next I stamped Miguel and coloured him and cut him out. I put a real ribbon and bow on his box. I then drew a Christmas hat and coloured and cut that out too. I adhered him and his hat to the page.
Next I stamped the 'Junkie' bit of the art junkie stamp and drew the 'X-mas' myself. That was coloured and cut out too. I made one leg of the X into a candy cane ! Cute eh ?
Anyway, I adhered the words to the page and that was that !

I used the following stamps : Miguel has a gift
                                               Fax to Wolfgang
                                               Art Junkie

Hope you like it...

Merry X-mas

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I made this as an inspiration piece for the Lost Coast Designs December Challenge... If you want to play along you can find it HERE.

This is basically a piece of Gelli Print that I didn't really like when I made it. This was in the summer but now these wintery colours are perfect. So I started with stamping the background and then put the X-Mas on there. Next the little girl was stamped on Adirondack paper and partly coloured. I cut her out discarding the little frilly bits behind her feet and the flowers in her hand. I replaced the flowers with a star. She was adhered to the card to stand on the 'A'. Lastly I used Tim Holtz stickers for the 'merry'.
I used the following Lost Coast Designs Stamps:
License Plate Alphabet
Loopy Calligraphy
Love Dictionary
Flying Ballerina

You can now get these beautiful stamps in the Netherlands; if you'd like some then visit : www.Inkadinkadutchies.nl

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it and got some inspiration to play in the Challenge ! You could win a $10 voucher !

Chocoholic..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I bought a second hand stamp set a few weeks ago and decided to use it today in an Art Journal. It is all about chocolate and is called 'Chocolate Shoppe' by Club Stamp. It was released in 2005.

I painted the pages in several shades of (chocolate?) brown and used some more of my finger painted circles.. I can't get enough of those.. I stamped the background with several of the stamps from the set and then put on some model paste through a stencil and sprinkled some glitter on it while it was still wet. Next I doodled a few lines around the page.
The lady is another stamp and was stamped on Arondirack paper. This works perfectly every time with photostamps and StaZon ink. I matted the the image on black card stock and layered it on some book text and fabric. I also stamped some rings on it with a bottle cap, put some rub ons on and wound some string around it. I then adhered it to the page. The last things were the sentiment, also from the same set, some rub ons here and there and that was it....

Dear Santa

Hello fellow Crafters,

On the TagAlong Challenge blog the theme this week is 'Vintage Santa'. I got this cute Santa image from the Graphics Fairy.

The base is made out of pattern paper which I randomly stamped with a star and silver and green ink. I also inked the edges with green Distress Inks. The wreath was stamped, coloured and cut out and adhered to the tag. As I mentioned the cute vintage Santa was downloaded from the Graphics Fairy website. Awesome stuff on there !!!
I cut him smaller and adhered him to the tag. Lastly I handwrote the sentiment and adhered it to the tag as well.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it....

High and dry

Hello fellow Crafters,

I made this art journal this week and thought I'd share it today.

I started with a Gelli Print. I thought it was so nice that I didn't use any background stamps. I did use some of the finger painted circles again... I love them. Next I doodled around the edge of the page.
I decided to use two of Roc Nicholas' stamps : 'Ponytail' from the last release and I used the tail feathers from the 'Flying Bird' to create the flowers.
I stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured with Copic Markers and cut it all out. I cut the legs of the horse and drew some new ones and I also drew the stems for the flowers. I then adhered everything to the page and that was that.. I thought it turned out quite cute..

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it...

Jolly Christmas

Hello fellow Crafters,

At the VivaLasVegaStamps! blog there is a brand-new challenge for December and although I haven't got any festive stamps from VLVS! I decided to play anyway. I made a postcard:

The base of this card is blue/white pattern paper of which I inked the edges with brown ink. The background stamps are all from VLVS! They are '19468 clock face', '5210 collage writing and one I haven't got the name/number off as it came in a grab bag; it is a postmark with some writing next to it. Next I stamped '9901 leapfrog man' and coloured him in with a mixture of pencils and copic markers. The snowman was made by me with circle dies, pencils, copics, a branch die and some raffia for his bow. I adhered him to the card on top of some washi tape and used some more at the top for balance. Next the man was glued on top of the snowman and the last thing I did was use my old type writer to make the sentiment, which was inked, cut in pieces and adhered to the card.

This card is based on this Inspiration board :

I used the following elements : blues, whites, off whites, black, brown, stripes, bows, winter, Christmas and snowman.

Life's a circus

Hello fello Crafters,

I have an art journal to share today. I made this for Lost Coast Designs, if you would like to buy some of these wonderful stamps you will find them HERE or HERE...

I started with gesso and when that was dry I painted the pages with yellow and orange acrylic paints. I then took some of my recently finger painted circles and cut them out. They were adhered to the page with gel medium. Next I used the 'Loopy Calligraphy' stamp with white chalk ink. The same ink and a bit of sponge was used to stencil the polkadots. I then stamped part of the 'Dream dictionary' here and there to add some interest.
The main figure is called 'Large Clown Doll', I stamped her on book text and adhered her to the page on some washi tape to ground her. I also put some washi tape in two other spots for balance. Lastly I stamped the sentiment straight on the page with the 'License Plate Alphabet set' letters.

Thanks for stopping by !

Ho ho ho..

Hello fellow Crafters,

and happy Wednesday to you. This is the last  (lasting all December) Challenge of the year for Stampotique and it is an "Anything Goes" by the lovely Kim.

I made an easy art journal page.

I used a piece of Artist Paper that came inside a Stampinton's Stampers' Sampler.  This is the back of it.

I stamped the "Smitten Moustache Monsters" and coloured them and cut them out. I decided to give them all Christmas hats. I placed them on the 'O's" of  'ho ho ho' that I stamped with the ...and red Distress Ink. I coloured around the letters with a black Copic to get a black border, heat embossed them with clear powder with some sparkle mixed in and cut them out.

Here's some close ups.....

Aren't they cute !

This was a really easy page to do. You could also used this to make Christmas Cards.... Whatever you do, enjoy yourself.

Why not have a go at this challenge yourself, you might win one of two $30 vouchers to spend in the Stampotique Online Store HERE. Just remember, no digi's.

I used the following stamps:

Serenity

Hello fellow Crafters,

Got a little ATC today. It was made with a bit of coloured card from my stash and 2 Lost Coast Design Stamps..  'Serenity Diva' and 'Magic' dictionary stamp..

As said this piece of card stock was coloured already. I used Lindys Stampgang sprays for this. I stamped the 'Serenity Diva's' head on it and stamped it again on white card which I coloured in and cut out. Next I glued the coloured one onto the stamp on the ATC. I also used the small letters of the 'Magic' dictionary stamp in the background. Lastly I cut out the word 'Serenty' from the stamp on the white card and adhered it onto the ATC..

Art..

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today is the first of December, almost Christmas eeeeek ! This will be my last DT post for this year for Roc. I will continue with the DT team next year though, yay ! I have made a postcard with the Horse, I  love this horse; I think he must be my favourite of all the Roc stamps...

I sprayed a piece of watercolour paper with Ink and after it dried, I dripped some more over the top. This spray is from Lindys and is gorgeous I think. There's green, yellow and blue in it.
I used a lot of collage this time, something different again. I used a bit of hessian with some flowery patterned paper on the top on the left of the card. I punched some circles and inked the edges with Distress Inks. The little postage stamps came from another piece of patterned paper; I stapled one on each circle stack. Three others were glued at the bottom of the card on top of some book text, and I used some more to stamp the horse's hat on. Horse was stamped on more patterned paper and shaded lightly with an alcohol marker. He was placed on top of the 'stamps'. I stamped the eyes separately on white card and coloured them, cut them out and glued them on the horse. I also glued the hat on. Lastly I stamped the word Art at the top of the card...
I used the following stamps:

I you fancy any of Roc's lovely stamps you can find them HERE.

Coffee Junkie..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I just made this ATC and wanted to share...

Unfortunately I couldn't capture the colours very well today. Maybe it is the dark and cloudy skies?

I started this ATC with watersoluble crayons in yellow, orange and red. I blended them together with my fingers. I then stamped the 'Art Junkie' stamp partly at the bottom and coloured in the letters with Big Brush Markers.  Next I stamped the background with 'Fax to Wolfgang' with white ink and one of the 'circles cube' with black Archival ink. The word coffee was formed with individual letters from  'Barcode text 1' and 'Barcode text 2', lastly the main image is 'Cocoa Bird'; he was stamped on white card stock, coloured and cut out. All stamps from Stampotique.com.

My adventure...

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have an art journal to share today. I made this with Lost Coast Design Stamps.. If you would like some you can find them HERE or HERE.

Detail of the glitter :

Detail of the girl...

I put distress ink on the pages with a brayer. I used Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. I didn't like it so I brayered some white gesso over the top. It blended it out somewhat  and I liked it better. I stamped (part of)  the text of "Frida 3" on the background with grey ink and then used the round shape of the "Shadow Frames set" to create the circles. I used white pigment ink and sprinkled sparkly embossing powder over the top and heat embossed it. I then used a white paint marker to doodle the circles around them. Next I doodled the lines around the page and used a punchinella  stencil and grey Archival ink to create the grey dots. The little girl was stamped on white paper, clear embossed and I also coloured in her wings with Copics. She was adhered to the page. Lastly I created some shadow around her with Big Brush Pitt pens and adhered the sentiment which is made out of Chit Chat stickers from Tim Holtz.

That was it !

I became insane

Hello fellow Crafters,

It is Wednesday, yay ! Time for another Challenge at the Stampotique Designers' Challenge blog. This week my talented teammate and dear friend Kay set the theme : "In the words of Edgar Allan Poe". This is what she said:

"My challenge this week is a simple one, but requires a bit of research on your part.  Just as many of the Stampotique Originals' artists design stamps that might be described as a bit "quirky," so, too, was Edgar Allan Poe a bit quirky.  He is a well known author and poet, living from 1809-1849.  His quotes range from the romantic to the melancholy, and from the thoughtful to the murderous!  The choice is yours.  Allow yourself some time this week to combine a quote from Edgar Allen Poe with one or more stamped images to create something unique!"
I have to confess I have never read anything by EAP; shame on me ! But, I did have a look on the internet and found this quote which I though went really well with poor "Checkers".

I started this tag by colouring it with Distress Inks in the colours: Spiced Marmelade, Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs. I used a blending tool. I then splattered some water on it and used Tim Holtz's clock stencil with Rusty Hinge ink. Next I stamped the "Web" with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The "Crow Line" was next; I used Versafine for this. I didn't think is was black enough so I coloured them in with a Copic Marker after the ink dried. I also stamped a few extra crows. In the end I covered them with glossy accents too !
"Checkers" was stamped on white card stock and coloured with Copics, clear embossed and cut out. I then adhered him to the tag. I made the sentiment with my old typewriter, cut the words out and inked the edges with Rusty Hinge. After glueing the wording to the tag I added two more crows. The last thing I did was put a ribbon through the hole.

I used the following stamps :

Even though you might not know anything about Edgar Allan Poe or never read anything  by him, why not play along. The internet is full of EAP words and quotes... You never know, you might just win one of two $30 vouchers to spend in the online Stampotique store. Just remember, no digi's and only one entry per person per challenge.
Good luck !

Thanks for stopping by !

Self portrait..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have a tag to share today:

I made this for Lost Coast Designs.. I started with a gelli print en added some stamping. You can hardly see it but there are butterflies at the right side of the tag. I then doodled around the tag with a fine tipped pen and went on to stamp "Frida 3" and the butterfly from the "Butterflies set".
Frida was stamped on tissue paper, cut out and adhered to the tag. The sentiment is around her head on the stamped image, but I chose to cut it off and separate the words. The butterfly was stamped on a scrap of paper with similar colours of paint on it and embossed and cut out. I also punched some circles out of the same scrap. Everything was adhered to the tag with gel medium.
The last thing I did was put a ribbon through the hole..

VLVS! a tale of two projects....

Hello fellow Crafters !

This is my second project as Guest Designer for VLVS! I have really enjoyed doing the projects. For this last one I actually did two little projects and couldn't decide which one to use so I'll show them both. Here goes. The first one is a series of three ATC's with the lovely Banksy stamps in the spotlight :

They were all made in the same way. The background is a gelli print. I have lots of them because they are so handy to use in your projects. Of course you can just paint your background, I do that too sometimes. I used two VLVS! stamps for the background : 19415 – Butterfly Specimens and 5210 – Collage writing. I used some black and white ink to make some splatters. Next I stamped the main images :19488 – Banksy Diving Helmets / 19434 – Banksy Gas Mask Flower girl / 19421 – Banksy girl floating with balloons.
Any spots that were not stamped right, I just filled in with a black marker. I then looked for suitable sentiments and decided on : 18408 – I'm not weird / 19423 – BANKSY / 18409 – Share your Sparkle.
I also used a black ink pad to ink the edges.

Here's some close ups :

I also used the following supplies : Pieces of gelli printed paper. Grey StaZon ink, Black Archival ink and white and black India Ink.

The second project was a postcard. I really liked how this came out :

I made the background by dragging a piece of cardstock through some Dylusions spray inks that I sprayed on my craftsheet with some water. I dried it and repeated the first step until I liked the result. I then stamped the flourish with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. When it was cool I rubbed it lightly with black Archival Ink. Next I stamped the background and the sentiment. I used the following VLVS! Stamps : 19417 – Victorian Flourish / 19416 – Waybill/Invoice Background and 8225 – Attention le ballet...
For the main image I used 9883 – Striped dancer jumping which I stamped on white card, coloured, cut him out and adhered him on the postcard. Some doodles with a black fine tipped pen and a white paint pen finished it off. Some close-ups:

I also used the following supplies : Cardstock, black and white markers, Ranger Silver embossing powder, Versamark Ink, Archival ink, Memento ink, Dylusions spray inks in pink and orange. StaZon Dove grey ink.

I hope you like it !
