and welcome to the new Challenge over at Country View Challenges. The theme this month is Christmas with optional green, red and rust. I am a very non-traditional person and I am also not all that keen on Christmas so I made an art journal page in non traditional colours with some traditional elements.
And here is how I made it..
I started with a piece of Pattern Paper by Basic Gray; I had this for years and I am not even sure whether Basic Gray even exists anymore. Anyway it is a warmish grey/green.
I used a snowflake stamp by Stampendous with VersaMark and WOW Embossing powder 'Atlantic Seaspray'. It is a light blue with gold in it... very pretty.
Here is the result...
Next I stamped the snowman. He is old too and by Gorjuss; Odd because I really do not like Gorjuss stamps usually but I thought this snowman was cute! I made him sit on a snowbank by added some doodles with a black Copic friendly pen. I then coloured him with my Copic Markers and cut him out.
I tried to make him look somewhat dirty...
Here's a closer look !
Next I stamped the sentiment, which is by PaperArtsy, on white card stock and used the same blue Copics as I used on the snowman's shawl to colour the word strips.
And here is the finished result. I did add some white pen around the words and some white splatters with a paint pen..
Here you see the gold in the embossing powder ... so pretty !
Anyway, we hope you will play along with our Challenge. You could win a GBP20 voucher to the shop. Just make sure to read the rules first. You'll find them HERE.
Thank you so much for stopping by today !
