Art Specially Event

Hello fellow Crafters,

Next weekend (5th-6th) there will be a Stamping fair in a town called Nijkerk in the Netherlands. I will go there on Sunday. The people from the Craftorij who will attend have said: wouldn't it be nice to personally meet, and recognise all the people you chat to every day on Facebook ! So they challenged us to make a name tag and also a flag to hang on their stand. So that's what I did.

So this is my name badge. I used an ATC card as a base and painted it light blue. I then used a flower stencil and aged the edged. The stamp is from 'the Octopode Factory and I think it is called 'Dolls Head'. Not sure about that one. She was stamped on white card stock and coloured and clear embosed. The letters are sticky ones and to make sure they don't drop off I adhered them with Glossy Accent and painted the background and the letters with a clear varnish. 

This flag was made with 2 pieces of cardboard that I adhered together with two loops of ribbon between them. I painted the background blue and used a stencil and some stamps to create a bit of interest. The little flags are by Stampotique and were stamped on white card stock, coloured and clear embossed. I placed them on double sided tape before cutting them out. Before adhering them to the big flag I stamped the image again and placed the cut out one over the top. The lady on the chair is from Artist impressions and is one of their Golden Oldies. I gave her the same treatment as the flags. I glued her on a bit of dictionary text with the word 'stamp' on it and adhered the whole thing to the flag. The sentiment was made with sticky letters. Lastly I used some rub ons and put the round wood through the loops. A bit of bakers twine to hang it up and that was that.
