Hello fellow Crafters,
Last week I was experimenting making backgrounds with DI, you know smooshing the inkpads on your craftsheet, wetting it and then putting the paper down in it. This tag was one of those experiments. I liked it and today decided to put the Stampotique Goat Monster on it.
I thought he looked like he wasn't bothered about anything so that made me think about this phrase from the Catherine Tate Show that was on the BBC a few years ago. She played a teenager called Lauren who used to say : 'Does my face look bothered'. I though it fitted the monster perfectly.
I stamped him on white paper and used watercolour pencils to colour him. Some background stamping, a few rub-ons, some ribbon and that was it.
Hope you like it.....

I used my watersoluble crayons for the background. I used blue, green, purple, violet, black and white. I also used some stencils and stamps to make the background a bit more interesting. The little figure is called Dweeze and is another Stampotique stamp designed by Daniel Torrente. I stamped him on white paper and coloured him with DI. Lastly I printed the quote by Jim Carrey, which I thought was hilarious, an glued it on the page.
Hope you like it....

Bob's amazing day
Hello fellow Crafters,

I fancied making another tag and this is what I came up with:
I used a manilla tag and painted it with Distress Paint in Broken China and a bit of Mermaid Fresco Paint from Paperartsy. ( I am still trying to decide which I prefer; at the moment I am very tempted towards the Fresco Paint.) I did some further distressing with DI in Broken China and Faded Jeans and stamped some numbers on (which are invisible on the photo) and some rings with my favourite O-ring stamp. Bob is another Stampotique stamp and because his day is amazing he is wearing this amazing hat ! I stamped him on bookpaper and placed him on some torn washi tape. His hat was a bunting stamp from Dylusions on light blue polkadot paper. I put some paper flowers on it and lastly attached a bit of ribbon and some beads to the top.
Hope you like it...

Happily ever after
Hello fellow Crafters,
Today is Wednesday and that means Stampotique Designers Challenge day, Yippie ! Maria set the challenge this week and it is Wedding. Now I thought about putting the card in I made a while ago for a real wedding but then I thought I'd make something new. It is an Artjournal page and is very much inspired by the card I mentioned. I fact I used the same stamps, stencil and the colours are mostly the same. Have a look and see what you think :

Legend
Hello fellow Crafters,
Yesterday I had some modelpaste left after my journalpage and I used this to stencil the wallpaper pattern on today's pages.

I coloured the background with Distress Inks and a blending tool. I then randomly stamped the over that. The photo came from an Antiques Market in England. I bought a quite a few, they are great fun to use in Art Journaling I think. Lastly I stamped the sentiment, aged the paper and glued everything to the page.
Hope you like it !

Live the life you've imagined
Hello fellow Crafters,
Today I had another Art Journal session because I wanted to try out my Caran d'Ache Neocolours. I bought a small box of 10 in July and hadn't used them yet. This page is the result:
Today I had another Art Journal session because I wanted to try out my Caran d'Ache Neocolours. I bought a small box of 10 in July and hadn't used them yet. This page is the result:
I started with putting torn pieces of an old book on the pages after which I used some model paste with a stencil in the top left and right bottom corners. I then coloured the pages with my Neocolours. I used some rub ons around the girl and the girl itself was stamped on white paper and coloured her in. The polkadots on the dress were made with a stencil. I glued some more bookpage on the page to anchor the girl on and to stamp the sentiment on. I also put a small piece in the left hand top corner to try to balance the page a bit more. I then stamped the grass on the left (IndigoBlu) and the random rings with my favourite stamp made of an O-ring. A bit of washitape and a butterfly finished it off.
Hope you like it!

Card for my friend...
Hello fellow Crafters,
I made this card this afternoon, just hope Jutta doesn't visit my blog before her birthday, lol...I sprayed the background with Dylusions in yellow, orange and pink. I then thought it was way to bright so I scraped Gesso over it with an old creditcard. I liked it better then. I then distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped the wallpaper design over the top with Archival Sepia Ink. I Stamped the image called Miss Snottie by Stampotique on white paper with Versamark and then embossed it with black fine embossing powder and coloured it in with watercolour pencils. I stamped the words on booktext which I gessoed before and distressed the edges with Archival in Sepia.
Hope you like it.......

Altered book
Hello fellow Crafters,
Lately I have been making quite a lot of tags and little cards and I wondered what to do with them all. At the moment they all live in a box together which is a shame I think.
I then came across a tutorial on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIqaedoCtyM on how to make an altered book. I really liked the idea to make one with little pockets for all my stuff, especially because I am also planning to make ATC's in the near future. So I took an old cookery book and this is what it looks like now:

The outside, a bit bluer in real life. The spine is covered in jeansfabric.
I quite like how it turned out.
These are the first two pages in the book.
And some more....
These little pockets on the right are made for ATC's.
I also put in some watercolour paper here and there, don't know yet how to decorate those pages.
Anyway, so far so good. Hope you like it.
Have a nice weekend!

Ideas create the story..
Hello fellow crafters,
Had another session at Stamping HQ today and came up with this. The background was made with Gesso, blue Distress paint and stencilled with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. The main image is a stamp from Lost Coast Design which I coloured with pencils and then Clear Embossed. I stamped the sentiment on a paint sample from the DIY store and mounted it on some gold cardstock which I embossed first. Lastly I glued on everything, put some shadow around the main images and stuck some washitape on.
Hope you like it !

The eyes see everything..
Hello fellow Crafters,
I had some ink leftover on my craftsheet so I smooshed this bit of paper in it because I hate wasting anything. I quite liked it so I decided to do something with it.
First I stamped the Dylusions background alphabet all over and then the smaller grey rings which are a PaperArtsy Mini. The big blue rings are stamped with an O-ring which I glued on a bit of wood.
I then used one of the faces from a stampset from Lost Coast Designs called 'Up close and personal'.
Lastly I stamped the bottom bit of another PaperArtsy Mini at the bottom.
Hope you like it.
The journey...
Hello fellow Crafters,
I can't seem to get enough of this Kate Crane technique for backgrounds and made this today using the same method. I sprayed Dylusions on a craftsheet, sprayed this with water and smooshed my page in it. Then I rolled some kitchenpaper over it and dropped some waterdrops on it and rolled with kitchenroll again to take some of the ink off. I then put some white and pink acrylic paint in a few places and distressed the edges with Vintage photo Distress Ink. I then did some random background stamping. The figure was from a giftsheet out of a magazine. I then stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment on and thought it needed something more so I stamped the three bees and the bunting on some booktext and glued it to the page.
Hope you like it.
Dotty about you
Hello fellow crafters,
It is Wednesday and that means a new Challenge over at Stampotique
Roc has asked us to make something with Polka Dots. I love Polka Dots so this is my entry for this week. I used Minky girl and one of the guys of Line up.
Hope you like it !

Stamping HQ
Hello,
I ran out of space for all the stuff I have so I convinced my hubbie to go to Ikea with me to buy some more storage space. He even put it all together for me ( I did help !!!!). So now everything has it's place.
My craftroom which I now call Stamping HQ (lol) is really the spare room but this little corner is all mine. I just hope I can find everything......
Another background a la Kate Crane...
Another little project made with the backgound from Kate Crane in Craft Stamper, made in the same way as the one I posted on the 11th. In this one the little figures were stamped seperately on white paper and watercoloured then glued on the card.
Hope you like it......

Just playing...
This afternoon I was looking through my magazines and spotted something I really liked. It was 'Pocket Essentials' by Kate Crane in 'Craft Stamper' from January this year. So I thought I give it a go. Kate made a pocket calender. Mine is something I could put on a card base or something.
Anyway, I would have never thought of using these colours together but it really works. Shame I didn't stamp the sentiment staight.
Hope you like it.....
Smile, enjoy, relax...
Another page in my Art journal. I really enjoy doing this and I can only regret not discovering it earlier. But I am making up for it now I think.
As usual I gessoed the page and painted it with Tim Holz Distress paint. I used a stencil for the chevrons and Distress Ink in the same colour (Broken China). I also used Dylusions and the number stencil. And then I got really stuck because I stamped the flowers (solid shape) on the page with black ink and it looked awful. So I had a think and decided to spray some white paper with Dylusions Ink in orange and yellow, stamped the flowers on the back of this paper, cut them out and drew the shape on the front with a permanent markerand glued them on the page. I then stamped the white rings with gesso. The ticketstamp and the sentiment came from a stampset which was a freebie with a magazine. Little Head was stamped on white paper, painted with watercolours and then clear embossed. The last thing I did was distress the edges and doodle around the page.
Hope you like it .....

Smiling Chessy
The Stampotique Challenge for this week was set by Jane and it is a colour challenge. Yellow, Orange and Purple have to be used. So this is my entry. Another tag as I seem to have caught Tageritis since doing the one for Astrid's Challenge. I sprayed the tag with Dylusions in Yellow and Orange and used a stencil on top with orange distress ink and did some random stamping. I then distressed some old bookpaper with purple distress ink, stamped Carol's flower on it and glued it to the tag. Chessy was stamped on white paper, coloured with colour pencils and clear embossed.
Lastly I stamped on the sentiment and tied the ribbon to the top. I hope you like it......

New home
Today I made this card for a friend who is moving house. I glued some old bookprint onto pink patterned paper to 'build' my house on and used the same paper for the windows and doors. I stamped the house onto the patterned paper and again on pink paper and paperpieced it together. Also I aged the papers with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. Lastly I stamped on the sentiment (new home in Dutch) and tied some bakers twine around it and glued the whole thing onto a cream card. Hope you like it !!

Home sweet home
After I made the journal pages with the Cheshire cat I had a few minutes to spare and decided to made another tag as I enjoyed the process so much last week. So again I used my Distress Paint in Broken China and stamped over the top to make the background more interesting. I also used a flower stencil and then doodled over the lines with a white gel pen. The stamp is from the very talented France Papillon for Stampotique. I just tried to colour it tone on tone with the background. A few bits of Washi tape ( I loooooveee Washi tape) and the Sentiment stamped in black StaZon, a few bits of ribbon and it was done.....
We're all mad here !
I had some more fun with my Stampotique stamps today. This time it is Chessy. Apparently he really said this in Alice in Wonderland. So as usual I gessoed the pages and this time I used some Distress Paint. I bought this recently (just 2 colours) to try out. I am not sure whether I like it or not. ( I will have to experiment a bit more ) Anyway I used some stencils with distress inks over the top and then also used some rub ons from Tim Holtz. I aged the pages with Black Soot Distess Ink and stamped the circles with a rubber O-ring which I stuck on a little block of wood. I stamped Chessy on white paper, coloured him in with Distress Inks and embossed him with clear embossing powder after which I cut him out and glued him on the page. He is standing on some Washi tape.
Hope you like it !!!
