Another background a la Kate Crane...

Another little project made with the backgound from Kate Crane in Craft Stamper, made in the same way as the one I posted on the 11th. In this one the little figures were stamped seperately on white paper and watercoloured then glued on the card.
Hope you like it......

Just playing...

This afternoon I was looking through my magazines and spotted something I really liked. It was 'Pocket Essentials' by Kate Crane in 'Craft Stamper' from January this year. So I thought I give it a go. Kate made a pocket calender. Mine is something I could put on a card base or something.
Anyway, I would have never thought of using these colours together but it really works.  Shame I didn't stamp the sentiment staight.
Hope you like it.....

Smile, enjoy, relax...

Another page in my Art journal. I really enjoy doing this and I can only regret not discovering it earlier. But I am making up for it now I think.
As usual I gessoed the page and painted it with Tim Holz Distress paint. I used a stencil for the chevrons and Distress Ink in the same colour (Broken China). I also used Dylusions and the number stencil. And then I got really stuck because I stamped the flowers (solid shape)  on the page with black ink and it looked awful. So I had a think and decided to spray some white paper with Dylusions Ink in orange and yellow, stamped the flowers on the back of this paper, cut them out and drew the shape on the front with a permanent markerand glued them on the page. I then stamped the white rings with gesso. The ticketstamp and the sentiment came from a stampset which was a freebie with a magazine. Little Head was stamped on white paper, painted with watercolours and then clear embossed. The last thing I did was distress the edges and doodle around the page.
Hope you like it .....

Smiling Chessy

The Stampotique Challenge for this week was set by Jane and it is a colour challenge. Yellow, Orange and Purple have to be used. So this is my entry. Another tag as I seem to have caught Tageritis since doing the one for Astrid's Challenge. I sprayed the tag with Dylusions in Yellow and Orange and used a stencil on top with orange distress ink and did some random stamping. I then distressed some old bookpaper with purple distress ink, stamped Carol's flower on it and glued it to the tag. Chessy was stamped on white paper, coloured with colour pencils and clear embossed.
Lastly I stamped on the sentiment and tied the ribbon to the top. I hope you like it......

New home

Today I made this card for a friend who is moving house. I glued some old bookprint onto pink patterned paper to 'build' my house on and used the same paper for the windows and doors. I stamped the house onto the patterned paper and again on pink paper and paperpieced it together. Also I aged the papers with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. Lastly I stamped on the sentiment (new home in Dutch) and tied some bakers twine around it and glued the whole thing onto a cream card. Hope you like it !!

Home sweet home

After I made the journal pages with the Cheshire cat I had a few minutes to spare and decided to made another tag as I enjoyed the process so much last week. So again I used my Distress Paint in Broken China and stamped over the top to make the background more interesting. I also used a flower stencil and then doodled over the lines with a white gel pen. The stamp is from the very talented France Papillon for Stampotique. I just tried to colour it tone on tone with the background. A few bits of Washi tape ( I loooooveee Washi tape) and the Sentiment stamped in black StaZon, a few bits of ribbon and it was done.....

We're all mad here !

I had some more fun with my Stampotique stamps today. This time it is Chessy. Apparently he really said this in Alice in Wonderland. So as usual I gessoed the pages and this time I used some Distress Paint. I bought this recently (just 2 colours) to try out. I am not sure whether I like it or not. ( I will have to experiment a bit more ) Anyway I used some stencils with distress inks over the top and then also used some rub ons from Tim Holtz. I aged the pages with Black Soot Distess Ink and stamped the circles with a rubber O-ring which I stuck on a little block of wood. I stamped Chessy on white paper, coloured him in with Distress Inks and embossed him with clear embossing powder after which I cut him out and glued him on the page. He is standing on some Washi tape.
Hope you like it !!!
