Art Journal: amazing world

This afternoon I sat down to do another Art Journal page. Hunk is one of my favourite Stampotique stamps and I thought I dress him up a bit. As always I started off with Gesso on the pages after which I painted them blue. I distressed the edges with Archival ink in manganese blue. I used the same ink for the blue dots which were made with a homemade stencil. Also used two TCW stencils, small bricks (white Versa Magic ink)  and mini Daisy Cluster (Peeled Paint Distress Ink). I stamped some script around the edges and used a small black star stamp to fill in some spaces that I thought were too empty. I put some washi tape down to put Hunk on. Hunk was stamped with StaZon and coloured with watercoulour pencils. The wings are from a photo of a butterfly. The hat is from the Dyslusions stamp set : bags of bunting. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and glued everything down on the page.

Art journal: the right hat

It was great fun creating this page this afternoon. I started with gesso on the page and then painted the page pink. I used a few stencils, Dylusions and TCW. Stamped a ledger stamp from Paperartsy around the edges and aged them with black ink. The figure is Batboy from Stampotique and because of his nice hat I thought the quote was very apt. I made a little base for him to stand on out of Washi tape from Tim Holtz.
I hope you like him; leave a comment if you want (even if you don't like him)......
