Two musical cards

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my DT post for Visible Image. Today I have used the fab new stencil 'Grungy Union Jack' and some of the music themed stamps and made two cards.

For the first one I used the good old Distress Inks, a blending tool, water and the new stencil. Doesn't that look fabulous ! I stamped the words Bold and Beautiful on either side and then put the singer in the middle of the two words. I used a stamping tool for this.

This one was made with Distress Oxide inks, a blending tool and water. I stamped the words and the musician on it using my stamping tool. I then matted the panel on a piece of pattern paper and on a card.

I have used the following stamps/stencil:

Mail Art Monday !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to another Mailart Monday at Viva Las VegaStamps!

and here is my envelope :

Front

and back...

I thought I'd go for a colour I don't use very much: purple !
I combined it with blue and white and painted front and back of the envelope masking off the area for the address... (all acrylic paints)
Next I stamped the background using paint, ink and embossing.
I used an acrylic paint marker to draw a line along the edge on the front and lastly added my main image which is a banksy stamp.

I used a whole lot of stamps for this envelope:

Here's a close-up of those 'wrong' berries !

Here is card no. 2 with berries in the right colour !

Does my new hat make me look fat ?

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost for Katzelkraft ! I have made an art journal page with one of the latest new dogs and he is called Booly !

I gelli printed the background using Amsterdam Acrylics, stencils and foam stamps. I then added some more stamping using Oxide and Archival inks.
Next Booly was stamped and coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered sitting on some washi tape. The sentiment is not by Katzelkraft. I stamped it and cut it into strips and adhered it on the page also. That was it!

Warm wishes (2)

Hello everyone,
Hallo allemaal !

Today I am sharing this card I made for 'Hobbycompleet De Duif's' DT. It is just in time for the challenge for this month which is use a stamp. And that is all I did. I stamped the bear and the sentiment, coloured the bear with Zig Clean Color Brush markers and that was that !

Fall in love ..

Hello everyone,

I have made another art journal... being back from holiday has its advantages.. no more rushing around to get my DT work done ! I actually have time to play again ! Yay ! I had been wanting to use these images by Vera Lane Studio for ages. I coloured them whilst on holiday in July.

I started by brayering these two pages in my mini Moleskine journal with two shades of pink and two shades of green, waiting for it to dry between colours. I didn't like it.. lol
So I painted it over with white and then wiped it with a baby wipe in an attempt to tone it down. Still didn't like it...
I then used a stencil by Tim Holtz and more white paint.... I liked it. Yay, result !
Next I struggled to think what else to add on the page, besides this lovely girl and her hearts... In a dark drawer I found a gift bag with flowers on it so I cut one of the flower stems out and adhered it to the bottom of the page. Nice ! I added some shading and then added the girl and the hearts.
Lastly I added a Tim Holtz chit chat sticker.

I really like the end result.
I used a digital image by Vera Lane Studio and you'll find it HERE.

Lil' tricksters

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my weekly blogpost for Vera Lane Studio.
Today I have 4 ATC's to share... I cut up a piece of 6 x 6 pattern paper and got these for ATC's out of out:

Aren't they cute !

So, when I cut out the ATC's I coloured the little flowers on the paper quickly with Copic Markers.
The image wer all coloured with Copics too apart from the little mummy; that was coloured with watercolours and coloured pencils.
I found a really old set of rub ons from Tim Holtz and used some of them on the ATC's as well.

You will find the Lil' tricksters HERE

Industrial man

Hello everyone,

and welcome to this post for Country View Challenges. It is still Miriam's challenge and the subject is 'metal'. I made a mini journal :

I started with a piece of watercolour paper and Distress Oxides...

I smooshed the inks on my craft sheet, spritzed with water and then dragged the paper through it several times, drying it in between....

I then added some background stamping..

Next I stamped the buildings at the bottom, then man; I stamped him on book paper also.. and the sentiment which I embossed with cream embossing powder.

I adhered the man over the one on the paper and added the sentiment which was stamped on the white edge of the book page.

And here is where the metal comes in... I took some wire and twisted it into a circle. I attached it to my paper with staples.

Here is a close up of how that looks... I also added some white splatters and mounted the whole thing on a page out of the same book before gluing it into my journal...

We hope you will play along with us this month; you could win £20 to spend in the shop ! Just make sure to read the rules. You'll find them HERE

Hello everyone,

and happy Sunday ! I have another instalment for Vera Lane Studio today ! I do so love the images... I made a tag with one of the 'lil gangstas'.

Isn't he just so cool !!!! I cut a tag from card stock and used a stencil and Distress Oxide Inks to add colour. I then rolled some white paint over it to tone it down and also to make it cooler !! lol.
I added some pieces of an old map that we used to use for walking in Wales which is really cool too !
He was glued in place after I printed him and coloured him with Copic markers.
The sentiment is from the same set but says Stay Cool... I just used one word and put it into a speech bubble...

Music

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card for Visible Image to share. The challenge this month is "Distress it" so I made a vintage-type card. I hope it gives you inspiration to play along in the challenge !

On a piece of kraft card stock I stamped the stars. I used Archival ink in the colour Potting Soil; I used the same ink to ink the edges and added some black Archival over the top later. I then distressed the edges. The guitar was stamped on book pages and torn out. The edges were inked with the same brown ink. I added the word Music and coloured in the letters on the guitar with a blue coloured pencil. Lastly I matted the panel on a black card.

I used the following stamps:

'sup?

Hello everyone,

today, for Vera Lane Studio I have a small journal page to share. Aren't these little dudes fantastic !
They are called 'Lil gangstas' and they have been up to no good !

They have sprayed the wall with graffiti !! lol...
Anyway, I used a gelli print for this and added the white wall with a stencil and acrylic paint, I accentuated the grouting with a Big Brush marker. I then used paint pens to add the graffiti.
I printed the boys and the fish bones and coloured them with Copic Markers, cut them out and adhered them to the page.
Lastly I added the sentiment which is from the same set.

So many trees !

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my blogpost for Katzelkraft. I can't get enough of the new dog and cat stamps and today I have used Voody for this AJ page.

I started off with a piece of white card stock. I used Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers to add colour to the tree stamps. I spritzed them with water and stamped them. I did use a stamp platform for this. This is the first time I attempted this and I think it is not a bad result. I will keep on practising though... Anyway, once I was happy with the trees I added a little blue for the sky and decided on pattern paper for the ground.
I then stamped the little dog, coloured him with my Copic Markers, cut him out and added him to the page. The sentiment was made up by me and typed and adhered.

Days of Summer

Hello everyone,

I have made this card for my DT from Hobbycompleet de Duif.

I took one of my gelli prints and added a layer of gel medium over the top so I could colour with my Faber Castle Pitt Brush Markers. This way you have some time to play with the ink before it dries.
I stamped the flowers and coloured them in.
I added the word dream with Distress Oxide ink here and there and heat embossed it because it took too long to dry... lol
Lastly I added the sentiment and matted it on black card.

I used Kay Carley's Eclectica stamps by PaperArtsy EKC01

September

Hi everyone,

I have another instalment  for the 100 Proof Press 2017 calendar and I am quickly running out of pages as the year is flying by !
Here is what I came up with for September :

She looks like I feel about Summer almost being over... I do NOT like winter.
So I took one of my gelli printed papers and added some background stamping and some doodling around the edges.
I stamped her on the page and on some book paper, cut her out and coloured in her face a little. I then adhered her to herself on the page. I did make her dress a little longer to make the image bigger. It fits the page a bit better like this.
The saying was found on internet and typed and adhered. I will be back next month with another page.

I have used the following stamps:

A party without cake

Hello everyone,

and happy Sunday. It is time to share another project I made for Vera Lane Studio. It is an art journal spread this time.

This gelli print is part of a home made book. I made about 30 gelli prints, folded them in half and glued them into a little book. I use it quite a bit.
I added some stencilling with white paint and some doodling around the edges. The cupcake was printed and resized and coloured with Copic Markers. I added some shading under the cake and the sentiment and that finished the page.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !

Of course I talk to myself...

Hello everyone,

It is the 1st of September and that means a new challenge over at Country View Challenges. The lovely Miriam chose the theme and it is "Metal". I struggled with this, I don't know why but three of my earlier tries landed in the bin ! In the end I made this art journal page and I actually like it ! I hope you do too.

There are different metal elements on this page and everything is explained in my VIDEO on YouTube.
Here is the link:
