It wasn't me

Hello everyone,

It is August 1st and that means a new Challenge over at Country View Challenges.. and this month it is me who set the theme ! Yay ! I chose blues and greens as this is one of my favourite colour combinations. I hope you will play along with us. You might just win a GBP 20,- voucher to spend in the shop ! Just make sure to read the rules HERE.

I made a postcard:

And here's how I made it :

I stamped this fabulous little character on Neenah white smooth card stock with black Memento Ink.

Next I coloured him with my favourite colouring medium : Copic Markers.

This is the background I chose.. the blue at the top is a little more turquoise in real life but I find blues and greens difficult to photograph.. It is a gelli print. I always have stacks in stock because it makes my life a lot easier..

I have cut him out and you can probably see that you loose a lot of the fine details like eyelashes and hairs. To get around this I simply stamp the image again directly on my card.

I used Archival Ink because my background is acrylic paint.

I didn't stamp his feet because there is grass either side which I didn't want. I did manage to stamp him slightly crooked ! lol

And here is the finished card. The little monster and the sentiment are both rubber-stamps by PaperArtsy designed by Elena Guzinksa. They are sold under the name Zinski Art and I think they are fabulous !

Thank you for stopping by today !
