Hip to be square...

Hello everyone,

Today I am hosting the challenge over at Stampotique Designers' Challenge and I chose 'Squares" as I wanted to get out of my comfort zone of using circles all the time. So why not join me an create something with squares in any form or any material on your project ! Have fun....

Here's mine :

I started with a piece of Mixed Media paper. I cut some squares of a different paper and adhered them randomly to my MM paper. I used India Inks to colour the whole thing. I used pink, orange and yellow inks. I applied them with a brush in two layers. Once I was happy with the result I took some colour pencils to add some definition around the squares. Next I stamped the background and splattered some white ink on it too. With a white gel pen I went around the edges and added a line with some tiny squares in it.
I used Scootergirl as my main image and stamped her, without her wheels on white card stock. I replaced the wheels with squares. I coloured her with Copic Markers, cut her out and cut off her crown. I added a wing from the tree topper stamp. (List of all the stamps used at the bottom of this post). I adhered her to the page and added a little white Big Brush Marker around her to make her stand out a little more.
All the time I was making this, the song "It's hip to be square" kept going through my mind so I decided to use this as the sentiment...  I used sticky letters for this but they were green, so I painted them with a white paint pen. After sticking these letters on I called it finished.....

I used the following stamps:

I would love it if you played along with me this week ! Just remember the rules! NO digi's and only one entry per person per challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by today !
