For the January challenge over at Art Journey where the theme is stencils I made this card. I used three different stencils in three different ways.
First I coloured the panel with Distress Inks; Peeled Paint, Mermaid Lagoon and Dusty Concord. I then put the first stencil on which has big numbers and sprayed water through it. I let is sit for a little while and mopped the water up with a paper towel. Next I used a chevron stencil, a blending tool and some more of the same inks which gives a totally different effect. Lastly, the third stencils with the little dots was used with a palet knife and some modelling paste.
That was the stencilling done; next I stamped the background and also splattered a bit of water on it to get some more interest. I then stamped the boy and used a water brush to light up his legs and face. Lastly I stamped the sentiment, cut it into strips and added it to the panel. I also doodled around the strips with a black pen.
Thank you so much for stopping by today !
