More Vintage...

Hello fellow Crafters,

After my DT project for the Stampotique Challenge Team I wanted to make another vintage project. Now when I saw that France, who set the challenge, used her Big Bee stamp I remembered that I have the Medium Bee so I thought to give it an outing. Thanks France for the inspiration....
I decided to make a card and this is it :

This was an easy card. I started with Kraft card stock which was already cut to size so all I had to do was score and fold it. I distressed it with Vintage photo Distress Ink.
Next I cut some dictionary text and crumpled it up, unfolded it and distressed it with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I then distressed a piece of corrugated cardboard. I adhered both bits of paper to the card base. I then cut another piece of card stock in a beige, krafty colour and distressed it by tearing the short edges and going round it with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain inks and stamping some rings on it. I also stamped the bee on it with black ink (3x). I then stamped the bee three times on a separate bit of white card stock and coloured them with Copics, clear embossed them and cut them out without their little antennae and legs. I adhered them to the stamped image on the beige strip of paper. On the inside I stamped Happy Birthday on a another bit of distressed paper and that was it.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it.....

  5. This does not at all look like an "easy" card, Corrie. A lot of thought and planning most definitely went into it. It is absolutely gorgeous--a work or art, in fact!

  6. It might have been easy, but it's bee-you-ti-ful. Sorry. I had to do that.

I love all the vintagey, krafty, distressed, and textured elements. Those bees really are wonderfully colored. Your fussy-cutting skills are most excellent!
